This was really bizarre. We had booked the Teller House a little before 7pm on the day of our booking. We received confirmation from Expedia and arrived at the hotel a bit after 9pm. We arrived at the Teller House without a soul in sight. We called the number at the front desk numerous times (me, 4x), and my friend, 2x, so we could see which room was ours so we could sleep for the night since we had been driving all day. An hour goes by, and after trying to figure out what to do, not a single call is returned and we cannot tell if anyone is in the hotel or not (according to the guest book there was potentially one more guest there). All the lights were off in every room and every door was wide open, which was rather creepy. We booked the hotel based on the reviews, and honestly, if we either received a call back or were greeted at the door, our experience would have been much different. We did not receive a call/text until the next morning letting us know that they were unable to accommodate due to a recital and were not even asked if we were able to find other accommodations. We were lucky to had called the hotel across the street who happened to still be there when we called and were able to book. PLEASE confirm that someone will give you your room before arriving there, please. All doors are unlocked and as two females traveling late at night, this felt very unsafe and scary for us.
