The bed was the most uncomfortable hotel bed I’ve ever slept in. There was a clear indentation in the middle of the bed.
The restaurant food within the hotel was limited. The first level has a hotel restaurant with fair prices. However, we experienced slow, yet very friendly service. The food was mediocre diner food. However, there’s an amazing little restaurant across the street called Cassandra’s On The River. The service there was the absolute best. A very friendly place and the food was amazing.
The decor of the hotel is very old but that’s the only thing I enjoyed about the hotel other than the free parking. I love the antique style. It felt like stepping back in time, which was quite nice actually.
The casino? There’s really not much to talk about. Don’t lose your shirt here, just go gamble somewhere else.
The room was clean though and other than not sleeping well, I guess it was a very mediocre experience.
I would probably try a different hotel/casino next time I’m in Shreveport. With a little money spent to make some upgrades to carpet, furniture, and beds in the rooms, it could be a great place to stay. (Just loosen those slots a little). lol
