The hotel and all of the staff were amazing Rooms very comfortable and clean. Staff are really friendly and helpful Would definitely stay again The bar and restaurant areas are really homely and comfortable and the food is outstanding

Beautiful and friendly hotel

This hotel has the most friendly staff I've ever experienced! We had a wonderful time, despite an electricity cut due to heavy snow! The only downfall was heating issues with the pool/jacuzzi meant we didn't take advantage of those facilities.

Amazing good hotel.

Amazing hotel, lovely and homely with such fantastic staff. The hotel was overlooking the valley and we had a super room overlooking the valley and the viaduct in the distance. We had a day of snow & a power cut but the staff were fantastic. We were made to feel welcome ,the food in the Antler restaurant was amazing good quality and plentiful and the breakfast even had fried bread ! Total winner !!! Only niggles was there is quite a few stairs & if you got a lot of luggage you will be better to let them know at reception cos you are up & down so many. Will be back soon.

Lovely stay, would recommend

Had a lovely stay and would revisit. Staff were extremely welcoming and nothing was an issue. We were not aware the facilities were being refurbished and disappointed the pool and hot tub were too cold to enjoy. Hopefully their refurb is complete on our next visit and we can enjoy the whole package. Rooms need to have brighter lighting available as quite dark.

Birthday Weekend Celebrations

We are just back from a two nights break at the ‘Derwent Manor Hotel’ celebrating three birthdays and we were completely blown away from the start to the finish. Debbie and Natalie who made us so welcome on arrival. There was eleven of us in the group and everyone was blown away with the quality of their rooms along with the quality of the food and service that we received both at dinner time and breakfast time. We all agreed that we’d had a great weekend and took our hats off to the staff that looked after us. None of us found a single fault with the weekend break and we will definitely look to book there again in the future as there is so much to do and see in the area. Thank you to management and staff for taking care of us.

Really nice hotel

This hotel is really lovely, the staff are all brilliant, the food is excellent and furnishings are very beautiful. We went to Prego on the first night and the food is out of this world good. All our breakfasts were top quality and the surroundings, common areas and the bar area are decorated to a very high standard. The pool and gym are due to be refurbished soon so I don’t want to make a comment other than they will soon be upgraded. My only gripes were that the rooms were very hot and the thermostat didn’t seem to reduce the heat, the wardrobes were too high for me to reach and I’m 5’8” and there was nowhere for coats unless you can reach or want to lay them on a chair. There was also no big light in the main room and nowhere to feasibly do make up. If none of that bothers you it’s a 10/10 but a couple of those spoiled our stay a little.

This is a lovely hotel. Lots of space and fabulous views of the local countryside. The rooms are boutique style and the bed was comfy. Quite a basic breakfast but everything was good quality and hot. I will definitely return in the summer to enjoy the bar's outside space

Really lovely hotel in a really nice area. Views were amazing. Staff were really freindly and the food was lovely. Pool definitely needs updating but they obviously have this underway as there is a sign up acknowledging it. It's still a good pool though.

A satisfactory place to stay when visiting Northumberland. Hotel was quite dark inside and felt claustrophobic. Bar meal portion size was extremely large, enough for two. No hand rails in bathroom so beware when climbing in the bath and shower. A tv control guide would be helpful, also how to work the coffee machine…..I stuck to using the kettle!!

Great stay and location for the family!

Fantastic stay! Stayed with the family of 4 in a double room, very spacious and clean overall. Great location, lovely breakfast. The restaurants are very tasty and staff are friendly and professional. Would love to stay again! only downside was the building work but it didn't disrupt our day at all.
