Summary:
There are places you rent, and places you remember. This is the second kind.
Perched above the Sheridan Valley on a quiet hillside, this spacious walk-out retreat gives you panoramic views of the Bighorn Mountains from the moment you open your eyes in the morning. Not from a hotel window. From your own sofa, your own patio, your own coffee cup — with mule deer wandering through the yard and pheasants crossing the ridge at dusk.
The living spaces are wide-open, warm, and full of character — log-accented walls, Western artwork, a stone hearth nook, and windows that frame the kind of scenery people drive thousands of miles to see. The kitchen is fully loaded with granite counters and stainless appliances. And the bathroom? It was fully renovated — tiled walk-in glass shower, mosaic tile counters, solid wood vanity. Guests consistently call it a highlight. - Please note it is accessed through the primary bedroom.
Three bedrooms sleep your group comfortably: a spacious master suite with the en-suite bathroom, a cozy queen room with warm furnishings, and a flex room with a daybed — perfect for the kids or a solo traveler who just needs a quiet space.
This is your basecamp for the Bighorns, your front-row seat to Wyoming wildlife, and one of the most genuinely comfortable retreats in Sheridan County. Managed by Wyo Stays — Sheridan's premier short-term rental company.

The Space:
This is a walk-out lower-level retreat with its own private entrance — you come and go on your own schedule, completely independent. The space is much larger than it photographs: wide-open common areas, a full kitchen, and three private bedrooms spread across a thoughtful layout.
A few things worth knowing before you book — because we believe transparency makes for better stays:
This is a walk-out lower-level apartment. The living areas sit at ground level with patio access and big windows framing the valley view. The bedrooms are interior rooms — comfortable, quiet, and well-appointed, but without exterior windows that look out to the mountains. For guests who prioritize peaceful sleep in a quiet room, this is actually a feature. For guests expecting mountain views from their pillow, the living room and patio are where you'll want to spend your mornings.
The bathroom is en-suite to the master bedroom. It's a beautifully renovated full bathroom with a tiled glass shower and wide vanity — and it's the home's one bathroom. Families love this setup. Groups of unrelated adults should know it means routing through the master to reach it. We share this upfront so your experience exceeds every expectation.
The on-site owners live in the upper level of the home. They are warm, kind, and deeply respectful of guest space. Dozens of guests have noted they were completely unaware anyone was home upstairs. You have your own entrance, your own space, and your full run of everything below.
