Adorable Gun Lake Cottage

Welcome to this quaint 660 sq ft cottage on the 2,680 acre Gun Lake. Memories are to be made on this all sports lake with 5,200 acres of trails nearby at Yankee Springs Recreation Area. The main level is a full kitchen, bathroom, laundry & living area with a queen size Murphy bed in the living area. Upstairs in the loft are 2 twin beds & a full bed. No actual bedrooms. Upstairs balcony overlooks the lake. Outside you have access to 2 adult kayaks, 2 child kayaks, & a stand up paddleboard.

The covered patio has a patio table with seating for 6 as well as a gas grill.

Feel free to use the sporting equipment that includes yard games, basketball hoop, kayaks, and a paddle board (Life Jackets are supplied).

You are allowed to dock your boat at our dock directly behind the house free of charge. There are plenty of boat rentals in the area as well.

You will find multiple board games for those rare rainy days as well as internet for streaming Netflix, Hulu .... etc

There is a firepit and plenty of wood available for fires by the lake. Marshmallow roasters and pie makers available to use.
Other things to note
All linens and pillows included. Laundry soap and essential toiletries are also supplied.

Beach towels are supplied.

The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pots and pans, as well as a coffee pot.

There is enough parking for 3 vehicles or 2 vehicles and a trailer.

Nice little cottage

I brought a fishing boat. It was so nice to be able to tie up right out the back door, in a protected cove. Nice side lot with afire pit, and plenty of firewood. Lots of watercraft like kayaks and paddleboards. The coffee pot stopped working, and the host brought a replacement the same day. Full bag of ice in the freezer. Plenty of parking. Kitchen supplies were kind of a hodge podge, but we made do fine. Would recomend.

Disappointed

COTTAGE ON THE LAKE- I was so disappointed, first it was very dusty, ants on the kitchen counters, upstairs queen bed sheets were nubby and unable to sleep on them, no bath soap in shower, nowhere at all for clothes or to hang clothes plus nowhere in bathroom to hang our towels. I have never been so disappointed and felt I was charged way to much for what we got. Let me add there was no remote for tv downstairs and couldn’t get the upstairs tv to work and sent a message but no response to my problem so we were unable to watch tv the entire time. I’d like to be reimbursed for the full amount or at least half of what I paid This was the worst place I’ve ever stayed before. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone unless they make some improvements not to mention clean it up. I was up there for a wedding with both my sisters and I wanted to cry when we walked in.
