Mesón de los Caballeros is an imposing, carefully restored Sevillian stately home in the perfect location for sightseeing and enjoying the easy-going lifestyle of Seville past and present. Located in a quiet street away from the noise and bustle, but surrounded by lively narrow alleyways full of traditional stores, bars, terraces and cafés, it will allow you to enjoy a unique atmosphere and delicious cuisine all year round.
The house dates back to the 19th century, a well-maintained building subjected to a complex renovation that has preserved all of its magnificent features while providing it with all the modern conveniences of a top quality home. Architecture, interior design and art history enthusiasts will be fascinated by the detailed plasterwork and ironwork and magnificent carpentry; entranced by the colour and geometry of its tiling and terracotta floors; the height of its ceilings, the grandeur of the staircase and the coffered wooden ceilings.
They say that they no longer build houses like they used to... and in Seville this is certainly true. For a start, it is truly extraordinary to find a house of this size in the historic town centre: no less than ¡550 m2 over three floors! Add to that a house that conserves the rooms and classical elements of its original stately architecture, while enjoying a new life in total harmony with the expectations and lifestyle of the 21st century. An entrance hall opening onto an impressive courtyard, beautiful galleries flooded with natural light which have been converted into elegant bedrooms or living areas, various terraces and patios… The upper floors have been redesigned to house two magnificent terraces, one on the second floor with a private heated pool, and another on the third with a large jacuzzi and ample space in which to relax of an evening.
The ground floor has a magnificent open central courtyard leading to the large living room with TV and a billiards table on one side, a dining room and bar on the other, and a first kitchen accessed from the dining room or through a small patio. There are two double bedrooms, the first one accessed from the main courtyard and the second from the patio next to the kitchen. Both have en-suite bathrooms.
A staircase leads from the courtyard to the first floor, where a large hall leads to the elegant living room equipped with a piano. The hall houses a guest toilet, and a corridor leads to a large dining room comfortably accommodating ten guests, a reading room with period furniture, and the second kitchen at the end. This is located just above the first kitchen and connected to it by a spiral staircase. This first floor houses the luxurious master bedroom, an area of 25m2 with king size bed, a private gallery, large closet, and a luxurious bathroom with bathtub and separate shower.
Up a further flight of stairs is the second floor with two bedrooms: a second master bedroom with an area of 15m2 and large en-suite bathroom, and a comfortable and bright bedroom located next to the terrace with the swimming pool. This bedroom has the use of a bathroom in the corridor. The pool has a small solarium area which is in the sun practically the whole day, and a practical hand-held shower.
The third floor houses the jacuzzi, the sixth bathroom and the upper terrace.
