Your modern cabin is just 2 min drive from Douglas Lake.
With a spacious driveway there is plenty of parking room for you and your guests when you arrive. Walk into our front-door into an open concept kitchen, dining area, and living room with a fireplace and a rest area.
Our cabin features 3 bedrooms. The 1st master bedroom offers a king bed and 65inches SMART TV. Second bedroom has a king bed and a futon for extra sleeping space and 65 inches SMART TV. Third bedroom/loft has king bed and full bathroom.
2 full bathrooms. 1 upstairs and 1 downstairs.
Enjoy the full kitchen with all stainless steel appliances, including a fridge and freezer, dishwasher, microwave, oven and stove. Take your cooking expertise onto the full back deck and utilize the grill for your evening cookouts.
The deck runs the extent of the house with seating areas for enjoying morning coffee, or an evening beverage. The enlarged deck space in the center is equipped with durable and sturdy furniture for your lunches, dinners, and evening game time!
An expanding and changing collection of games are provided for your enjoyment.
The living room comes equipped with a sleeper sofas for those of you bringing an extra guest, couple, or children. If you’re an extended stay guest take advantage of laundry room with washer and dryer.
Enjoy internet (wifi speed 500 mbps) access to stay connected while you’re away from home, take advantage of this relaxation time to catch up on your favorite shows or by watching SMARTTV. Or completely disconnect and enjoy the outdoors! However you make yourself comfortable and enjoy your time off, our home will be conducive. Comfortable temperatures are maintained with central heat and air.
Waterside on Douglas provides a day dock, and a dry dock for those of you bringing watercraft for your enjoyment.

Cute little house. Loved fenced in yard. Didnt get to use firepit due to rain but it was a nice touch. Grill on a covered deck, off the kitchen was great. Very nice appliances in kitchen/laundry. Minimal kitchenware and linen available. No blinds so we got up early. each day

Contemporary Cabin

We had a wonderful visit and loved the proximity to restaurants, shopping and more! The cabin was designed nicely for multiple families. For our group of three, there were limited kitchen utensils and dishes. We really enjoyed our visit and would recommend it to others! Check in communication was prompt after I messaged the owner, however we did not receive any check out directions or communication at the end of our stay,

It did the job but…

The inside was really cool. Didn’t match the outside at all. The years had not been mown and I picked up litter/trash in the yard when I got there. It was after dark when we got there and the lighting wasn’t too good to be outside after dark. Hot tub was nice on front porch. Things were clean and neat inside. We really just slept there- didn’t get to spend much time there to give an adequate “fun” rating. I did have to initiate conversation with the host to get our information but they were quick to respond.

Great stay away from hustle bustle

This stay was really awesome. House is great. Only problem was the key code is AWFUL to try to work. Neighbor had to come let us in because we couldn’t get the code to work at all and he saw us struggling. But otherwise really really cool house

Good

Nice place, clean, about 150 yards from the French Broad River. For those interested in fishing that river its deep and you will need a boat, unable to wade. I would stay here again and we did bring some of our own pans to cook with. I would recommend doing that.

I would give this stay a 3.8/5

When we first arrived the front door was unlocked, the lights were on, and there was an empty car parked around back that stayed there the entire time we were there. It was a bit odd. In the upstairs bathroom there was a half used shampoo bottle in the shower and almost a small bit of dirt on the built in shower stand. There were no lights out back except 1 small light strand that didn’t light anything up but the fence so we weren’t able to hangout in the patio area after dark. There were really no cooking utensils at all except a spatula that was half broken. There were no cups, only coffee mugs. There were just a lot of odds and ends missing that we did not expect since they would have been extremely useful. The cabin itself was beautiful and a great size for the 5 of us that stayed but the issues above almost outweighed the good of the cabin. The pros were that the hottub was nice and warm, they had corn hole on the deck, the futons and couch chairs were nice and comfy, and check in and check out was super easy!

Short Stay but a Great Stay

A group of 6 multi age friends arrived late Friday evening. After realizing the keypad was on the door ( and not the key box beside the door), we got in and settled to this super minimalist but overly comfortable home. It was clean, it was relaxing, it was great. There was not a lot of fluff and extra decor but it was not needed. The hot tub and porch swing were a great spot for late night chats. The beds were perfection. The check out process was easy! 100 percent would stay here again!

Beautiful!

I loved the entire cabin! It was the perfect size for my family. The addition of the fire pit, fireplace, grill, and hot tub, made us wish we could have stayed a lot longer. Overall, everything was just perfect and the host was commutative and friendly. The only feedback I would give is that the neighboring house had put me at unease when we would return and they were looking in our direction. Since we are on vacation we wanted to stay up later than usual. I am not sure if it was a matter of being safe and just looking in our direction but it made me feel like we weren't supposed to be up too late. If you decide to book it ensure that this might not be a location if you are wanting to party or stay up late. Other than that it was perfect!
