Disliked: Cleanliness
The cabin itself was beautiful and the setting was very nice. Communication with the host was easy, and they were quick to respond whenever I reached out, which I appreciated.However, there were several issues during our stay that made the experience disappointing. One of the main reasons I selected this cabin was because of the pool, and unfortunately we were unable to use it. When traveling with kids, the pool was a big factor in choosing this property.When we first arrived, there were quite a few dead ladybugs throughout the cabin and I had to sweep again upon arrival. I also noticed hair under the coffee table and dust on the end tables. In one of the upstairs rooms there were dust bunnies, cobwebs, and even a milk jug ring under the bed where it didn’t appear to have been cleaned. The comforters also had stains and hair on them.We also ran into some supply issues. There were only about 3–4 paper towels left on the roll with no extras provided. There were only two extra wrapped toilet paper rolls and the rest of the rolls were less than half full. I also had to request dishwasher tabs during the stay.The host did offer a discount, which I appreciated, but it was around 10% or less and didn’t fully make up for the issues we encountered.Overall, the cabin itself is beautiful and the host communicates well, but the cleanliness, supplies, and the inability to use the pool made this stay not quite what we expected.
