Gite Bacquiès - with enclosed garden and heated swimming pool
Bacquiès is the name of the estate, built in 1883. An accommodation with a restored farmhouse and a barn converted into a home, a common area between the two properties and a fully enclosed garden with heated outdoor pool (9x6m), terrace and shade garden, surrounded by Septfonds farmland.
Septfonds is located in Tarn-et-Garonne, in south-west France, in the Occitanie region and about 1 km from the farm. A cosy town with the main amenities: butcher, bakery, small supermarket, petrol station and a few restaurants. The Festival du Chapeau takes place every year in July and there are other events throughout the year.
The farmhouse is entirely single-storey with a large living room with wood-burning stove and access to the terrace. The spacious fully equipped kitchen has an 8-person dining area. There is a washing machine in the utility room.
There are 2 bedrooms with 2 single beds (90cm), one of which has access to the terrace, a bedroom with a double bed (160cm) and a bedroom adapted for disabled persons with a double bed (160cm) and an ensuite adapted bathroom for disabled persons.
There is a bathroom with bath, double sink and toilet and an additional separate toilet.
The barn converted into a home has a bright living room with fully equipped open-plan kitchen (dishwasher, freezer, washing machine).
The master bedroom with double bed (160cm) and bathroom with shower are downstairs. On the mezzanine there are two single beds (90cm) and there is a low-ceilinged attic room with a sofa bed suitable for children.
In the common room (32m2) there is a table tennis table and a variety of indoor and outdoor games, such as bocce, badminton and croquet and a gas barbecue.
On-site parking and a carport.
The property is ideally located to discover the most beautiful villages and sights in the area:
Saint Antonin Noble Val
This medieval village has an exceptional heritage and takes you through the centuries thanks to its well-preserved architecture, picturesque streets and the bridge over the Aveyron.
Cordes-sur-Ciel
One of France's most beautiful villages, set on a hill with cobbled streets, Gothic buildings and breathtaking views.
Bruniquel
Built against a cliff face, this charming village has an impressive castle and stunning views over the Aveyron Valley.
Saint-Cirq-Lapopie
One of the most beautiful villages in France, towering high above the Lot River. The village has a spectacular medieval character.
Montpezat de Quercy
Located on a hill among vineyards and orchards. The white stone houses above the ramparts hug the collegiate church, built in the 14th century in Gothic style by Cardinal des Prés.
Cahors
The old town, built on a peninsula along the banks of the Lot, offers a pleasant atmosphere with its alleyways and architecture. The Valentré Bridge, symbol of the city and built in the 14th century, is today inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Puycelsi
The village is on the list of most beautiful villages in France and is also called the ‘fortress of the forest’. Located on a promontory overlooking the Grésigne forest, it is surrounded by more than 800 metres of ramparts, behind which its medieval charm is immediately visible!
Caylus
On the border of Quercy and Rouergue, in the heart of the Bonnette Valley, dominated by the tower of the former royal castle, Caylus is an inviting place to stroll. The picturesque historic centre is full of old houses and protected monuments
Castelnau de Montmiral
The bastide town is one of the most beautiful villages in France. Built around 1222, it has endured numerous conflicts, allowing it to preserve its beautiful heritage. Only three of the original six ramparts are still standing. Inside the walls, take time to wander through the maze of narrow streets: the beautiful brick and half-timbered houses are a feast for the eyes.
Montauban
Montauban, the capital of the Tarn-et-Garonne region, is a lively and welcoming city of art and history, known for its relaxed lifestyle and offers its residents and visitors a rich heritage, both cultural and built.
