The room was clean, spacious and neat. We were a family of 4 travelling. So we had a connecting room, which was convenient especially with 2 bathrooms. The staff was nice. However, we turned up to breakfast at 9:20am, being informed we had to buy tickets from reception. By the time we got the tickets and went back up at 9:31am, the breakfast place was closed. Then, we had to go back down to get a refund. I feel both the restaurant staff and reception staff should warn us that it was too late for breakfast and there was NO POINT of buying breakfast tickets for 4 people at 9:20am when the place was closing in 5 mins! otherwise, the location was great.

Overall, the property was perfect. I would consider Sotetsu Fresa Inn Sendai a more upscale Japanese business hotel. Room was clean and modern with a good selection of amenities. It's just a short walk from Sendai Station and conveniently located near many restaurants and shops. Unfortunately, breakfast is not complimentary but there are many breakfast options in the surrounding area. I found a cheap onigiri shop just around the corner from the hotel for just 150 yen each and the portions were generous, better than the ones at the convenience stores. There is also Asaichi Market, which I recommend taking a stroll through.

It was a great location close to the train station with lots of food options and a fresh morning market basically just downstairs! The hotel was clean and really nice to stay in, and staff are helpful as always in Japan!

Generally ok, reasonable room, plenty of breakfast choice although sadly I’m not great with Japanese breakfast. I’d love some cereal. Check in by machine is awful. Never runs smoothly and needed help from staff to check in and check out. I hate check in machines. Request to keep the bathroom door closed to prevent setting of fire detection systems. Understand perfectly. However a fan running 24/7 in the bathroom is both an irritating noise at night and surely a fire risk itself? Location good, overall quite satisfied.

Very good!

It was a very pleasurable experience. I would return whenever I have a chance to. Customer service was excellent. Breakfast buffet is highly recommended. I left my washed socks hung in the bathroom but they kept them Location is somewhat out in the inconspicuous area, yet convenient store is near by.

Convenient Hotel near JR Sendai Station

The hotel was conveniently located within a 5-minute walk from the JR station, although if one is new to Sendai, it could be a bit hard to find since it's not on a main road. It was however very convenient to access the Sendai subway and buses, as well as shopping and dining options in the area. The hotel seems to be recently renovated as the interior was well furnished. There is a self-check in requirement which is a bit new for me, but otherwise it was smooth. My room was well-equipped and was comfortable. It was fairly standard for Japanese accommodations so I don't have any complaints. The wifi worked well and I enjoyed a very pleasant night's sleep. There was no complimentary breakfast offered, but it was not a big deal for me. The luggage storage was also self-served and requires an IC card. There were instructions in English so it wasn't hard to figure out. Overall, I had a pleasant stay at the hotel and would consider again for future stays in Sendai.
