The property was like being in an Indiana Jones movie set. Tranquill and the infinity pool looking over the jungle is amazing. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Lots of places around area to go and taxi's are very cheap.

Such an amazing experience at this hotel, not only is the staff incredibly kind and attentive they are also so thoughtful. We stayed for our honeymoon in the pool villa, and on the first night we came in they gave us a call in the morning to see if we’d like to have breakfast even after breakfast hours were over since we hadn’t eaten. They always asked us about our itinerary to help us decide best places to go or offer us shuttle service or a car. We went on a lovely trip with Joe to the swing and coffee plantation, he’s so fun and knowledgeable, he was also so patient with us and wanted to make sure we had a great experience. The room itself is beyond what I expected, so clean and beautifully designed. The bathroom is so spacious and gorgeous that we could probably just live there. The shower has the best water pressure and the hot water keeps going even when we’ve filled the bath and want to use the shower after. Such an amazing experience, I really wish we had booked longer. Highly recommend staying here, and hope to come back one day! Also they offer yoga in the morning, a free foot massage when you first come and their chicken is halal. Amazing experience!! Thank you so much to everyone at the hotel!!

The hotel is very beautiful and is perfect if you are looking for relax and wellness because they are located in a quiet area, have a very good spa. The staff was always very helpful.

Room was OK situated in a woodland area but there are a number of insects in the room which is probably what you would expect. Breakfast was nice. Negative was I hardly slept due to a cockerel crowing all night.

I absolutely loved staying here. The property is amazing and so peaceful. It’s 30 min north of Ubud, so it’s much more tranquil and secluded. And the infinity pool, spa, and views are spectacular. But what I loved most about this resort was the staff. Never have I ever felt such incredible hospitality. Everyone learned my name and would greet me “Hello Ms. Sarah” around the property. They would even ask me about the excursions that I booked each day through the hotel. Nanis and Jo in particular was so kind and warm, I loved getting to know them both. If you want to experience authentic Balinese hospitality and stay in a luxurious resort, Pura Gangga is the place to be!

Amazing resort and best staff

Thank you for an amazing stay. The resort was stunning, the massages were wonderful, the yoga was great and the hotel was so accommodating preparing breakfast take away boxes for 2 mornings that we had to leave early and would have missed breakfast. Wonderful friendly staff. We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend this gem in Sebatu. Thank you!

Avoid at all costs.

Terrible stay, the room was not habitable. There was mould all over the ceiling, a foul smell of damp. It was the first time I ever had to wear a mask to sleep at a hotel. The towels and sheets have holes in them, as do the mosquito nets which also smelled as though they hadn't been washed in months.

Chilled out Resort

This resort is 30 minutes north of Ubud and we stayed for 6 nights. Our initial thoughts were that it could be too remote, however, having experienced the busy rice terraces of Tegalalang and hectic Ubud, it was great to get get on the courtesy shuttle provided by Puri Gagga resort and return to the peaceful vibe there. The staff were very, but not overly, attentive and very well trained. We arranged the downhill cycle via the resort which ended with a beautiful ‘picnic’, a private lunch for the 2 of us set up under a thatched cover in the middle of paddy fields with a delicious meal. It was a great experience and Nanis who led us was great. It was a good location to do white water rafting from (still an hour away) and the resort provided a driver to and from the airport (additional cost). All in all we loved our stay at this resort and even did the free yoga classes for beginners each morning which was a really good way to start the day. We would highly recommend this place if you like a chilled vibe, good service, peace and tranquility as well as very friendly but professional staff. We were sorry to leave.

Honeymoon Garden Villa

Amazing and relaxing spa resort in the jungle! Not that close to Ubud (30 mins by far) just so you are aware. It is very nice being out of the hustle and bustle though. We stayed in the garden villa which was very lovely and had a great outdoor bathroom space with a good shower and bath. Beware it is actually visible from another room balcony though so this is a bit weird... Service is fantastic, food is great and reasonably priced for its quality, house wine is fine, spa and massages are great, pool is lovely with good views and beds, yoga class is brilliant, cooking class is expensive but definitely worth it. Staff will always go above and beyond, and the dinner for two package is amazing and actually the same price pretty much as a normal dinner but comes with flowers and candles and a whole experience!

Fantastic break

This was a fantastic four day getaway,The staff picked us up from airport despite the Midnight landing.The views from hotel of the natural habitat are amazing you can get peace and tranquility here .All the staff were fantastic friendly and breakfast was great.A free shuttle service to Ubad was taken advantage of daily and even the markets nearby were nice and cheap.Vira at restaurant was a great hostess and Jock,Harry,John and the receptionists made our time special.The room too was very spacious.I would definitely come back and recommend this place to anyone.

Love the isolation feel and cultural connection it has to the local village of Sebatu. Enjoy villagers coming to the hotel to demonstrate handicrafts and cultural dance performances. Staff are always helpful and friendly. I do feel the menu in the restaurant needs to expanded and improved especially for lunch and dinner. Found myself having to shuttle to Ubud for dinner more times than i wanted to.

Secluded Paradise

Puri Gangga Resort was a very enjoyable hotel. Out of the 10 hotels we stayed in during our 3 week journey, Puri Gangga Resort was one of our top three favorites. It has exactly the vibe we were looking for after a busy few days in the city--more secluded and relaxing. Our spa experiences were amazing and the front desk service was top-notch. We really needed some help to schedule a fast boat and they did an excellent job AND even provided us with a breakfast box for our early departure.
