The hotel was beautiful and the staff was first class. The only negative for me was that the bed was very firm which caused me hip pain (I am 48) and arms fell “asleep”. Other than the bed, it was a great place to stay.

The rooms were to be cleaned every other day. That did not happen. When we inquired about it we were then informed we had to request service prior to 9:00 am. When walking to our room we came upon the cleaning crew right outside our room talking about us. Didn’t give us that warm welcoming feeling.

It's an old building so dated is expected. It's not worth griping about, but is the reason for the drop in stars. Staff is wonderful. Parking garages are nearby - and they have valet if preferred.

Very nice staff at reception & 24 hour desk. Quick service. Room cleaning could improve. Cellophane wrapper & hair on floor in bathroom when we checked in. Did not improve after mentioning it to staff. On a good note, nice wine & cheese hour with piano player our first evening. Excellent location to get to everything. Would stay there again.

Lovely historic inn within walking distance to most of the historic area sites and restaurants. Very nice colonial themed room. Wine and cheese reception on weekday afternoons. Friendly staff.

We used valet parking, which was excellent. The hotel was very comfortable and staff were very friendly and helpful. We especially enjoyed the wine and cheese every afternoon and the pianist who played lots of Johnny Mercer melodies.

The Planters Inn on Reynolds Square is the ideal hotel if you're visiting Savannah for the SCAD Savannah Film Festival. You will be literally steps from your room after a film ends - so easy!

Daily housekeeping must be requested by 9:00 am but we were never told that upon check in so we got nothing. The room could use a thorough scrubbing. It’s clear that it just gets a quick looking over, not an actual cleaning. Housekeeping was quick to show up the morning of checkout though, BEFORE we had to leave. It was not a good look.

Very friendly and courteous staff. Warm cookies at night and wine/ cheese piano music at happy hour/ 24 hr coffee. But no restaurant. No breakfast. Lobby has poor mold smell. Room dated but large and brought refrigerator when requested. Maid service only every 3 days unless request more. Staff was the biggest asset!
