Check in was a drag after driving from Texas. I still have a state DL was told that they don’t rent to locals after my room was paid for in full and drove 14 hours..but the young lady who checked me in was super sweet I forgot her name I think it was Samara she deserve a raise. The beds felt like sleeping on hard plastic. On our last night there the toilet backed up and there was no maintenance available or plunger. The front desk agent at the time (male) didn’t or couldn’t assist with the toilet issue. I asked for extra towels and didn’t even get that after exchanging dirty towels, I was told I had to wait. And still didn’t get the towels. Horrible experience and will be contacting the BBB!

Cleaning Service Issues

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. My recommendation is that if you have issues with the cleaning service, address those concerns directly with the hotel manager. She addressed our issues immediately. Otherwise, this is a very nice facility, and I would stay here again.

I was not going to share my review of this property because they offered to make it right, but when the smoke cleared (and all of the credit card holds fell) it turns out… they didn’t. My regret now is that I didn’t take the pictures of the over flowing trash cans or the repulsively filthy “welcome” at at the door or the blackened arms of the chair and couch in the living area. The pillow on the beds were approximately half of a standard pillow and the bed was like laying in a board. That feeling of laying on a board was in stark contrast to the sofas bed which felt like springs with a blanket covering them. You could not feel any padding over them. My kids didn’t want to sleep on it which made our sleeping conditions even more crowded. The floor that had time on it in the bathroom area was sticky and you could hear your shoes make as they stuck to it when you walked. When we walked in the room, it smelled like mist feet. HOWEVEE none of that was my biggest problem. My biggest problem was that I have a mold allergy and I could not sleep all night long for being stopped up, sneezing, having itchy, watery eyes, and my throat burning and itching. I take seasonal allergy medicine but I had to add 3 Benadryl and some throat spray to try to soothe it, which it did not. That was the kicker. My allergies were not flared up when I arrived and they calmed down once we left. That left me with the major concern that there was probably mold somewhere (vents, carpet).

The property was in pretty rough shape to be not that old. The furniture in the room looked filthy and I had the bed linens were stained. I had to ask for new sheets my first day. For the price I paid I expected better.

Room was perfect only wished there were more bed pillows and mattresses could be a little more comfortable. Other then that we loved our room we travel for Gymnastics competitions we are a family of five so the room we had was what we needed. Will be staying again at Country Inn & Suites when we travel to North Carolina in May.

The staff were wonderful and informative. The property and accommodations were clean. I love that our room had a separate seating area which made the times we spent in the room more homey. If you have your own car it wasn’t too far from the River front. Would stay here again.
