Road trip through Sausalito

Check in was quick and easy. The staff was very kind and friendly. We ate dinner at the Barrel House which is just down the street and it was delicious!

Located right beside the ferry terminal and the shops this hotel is in the perfect location for walking around. A bit noisy from all the activity round about and in need of a little TLC it still suited us perfectly

Read the fine print. This property only has limited front desk service. We had our wedding and landed up around 11 pm. The front door was locked. Called a phone number and a grumpy guy berated us for not “making an appt for checkin”. Apparently 8 pm is the cutoff . We booked through hotels.com and went back and checked - no mention of a 8 pm cutoff. If we would have known would have avoided this hotel. Terrible communication and attitude. We are local to SF so told the guy we are willing to go back home rather than deal with the poor attitude

Location no services

The historical property was lovely and up to date. Other friendly tourist in residence. I did not expect no staff service. I did not expect checkin with a call, and then someone had to come from anothe hotel. I did not expect to give up on even requesting additional face cloths. I did not expect to have to order out because all the restaurants around closed by 9:30 pm on a Saturday night. So the location was impecable. Service not so much.

It was my birthday. My wife loves Sausalito, but again it was my birthday, i wanted to go to another desination. However, i decided to go to Sausalito if I could find an affordable place to stay. I was looking for a clean safe place for us to stay overnight. This was perfect. We had a wonderful stay. We checked in around 6 pm, the front desk clerk was very kind and courteous. The room was clean, quiet and affordable. We were able to walk to the restaurant of my choice nearby for a great birthday dinner. Great stay

Lovely, smaller quaint French hotel with about 10 or so rooms. The rooms have lots of character. There are no “facilities” such as gift shop, pool, gym, or laundry. However, it’s a lovely, romantic getaway for a weekend with everything you’d want nearby. Robin was wonderful, kind and a great resource on where to go, do and see. Would absolutely stay here again!

Friendly staff and pleasant stay

We planned a getaway in Sausalito for our anniversary getaway and decided to stay at Hotel Sausalito. We arrived early and Robin was super kind in expediting the availability of our room. The room was comfortable and was directly across from the ferry station. Based on our activities, we ended up heading out to tiburon to use that ferry station since the one on Sausalito does not travel to angel island. The bed was comfortable, housekeeping cleaned the room each day while we were out and about. However, the sink in our room (209) was backing up a bit but still drained in a reasonable amount of time. Our room is the only room with a bathtub if that’s important to you. We heard some construction noises since a wine bar is going up next door but renovation and painting continues. Any time we had questions about the area or recommendations, Robin was persistent in providing them or researching for us. It was a very pleasant stay. We also were able to catch a jazz festival the evening we came in. Overall, a great stay and definitely a place we’ll come back to in the future if we’re in the area.

Sausalito Weekend

The stay was excellent. The hotel is an older hotel but puts you in the main downtown area. We were greeted by host Robin. She went out of her way to help with everything. She knows the area very well and adjacent towns. She provided tips for travel Muir Woods , Mt Tamalpias and the coast. She directed us to Restaurants, Ferry and what to during our stay, including a day in San Francisco . Robin is a gem and made our stay a 10!!

It's a cute hotel. The room is nice and clean. I booked a room with twin bed. My room number was 204 or 214. I don't really remember but It was noisy! Some machine inside of the hotel was making noise every few minutes. I can't sleep at night!
