The hotel itself is awesome. The staff at the front desk are wonderful. I travel on business and would not stay again as I didn’t find the parking lot safe for my vehicle. We passed many homeless in the area and given its downtown I expected that. But the lights in the lot are all burned out and the only cameras are at the front door and one on one side of the building. We arrived in the dark and parked in the dark. A couple more cameras and a well lit parking lot would make a huge difference in me wanting to use this as my regular hotel.

From the moment I walked in with my big black lab, Kelly made us feel welcome. She took the time to explain where the closest places were to fish, where we could find a dog-friendly patio, and making sure we had plenty of dog treats and bags. As we were leaving, she paused leaving work to make sure she asked about our stay and the fishing. The room was good, the location was easy to find, and they even had plugs for my electric car charger. What a great welcome to Canada!

We had our dog with, who was having difficulty climbing up and down the stairs. The property has no elevators. When we mentioned this at the check-in counter, the attendant switched us to a ground floor room. Very good service. We really appreciated it. Highly recommend. Short walk (2 min) to waterfront.
