Lovely little hotel right on Sunrise beach, which in my opinion is the best beach on the island. Had an excellent choice for breakfast & all the food we had was fantastic. A bonus for us was the Bali beds & sunbeds, although they are not fully out in the sun. This was perfect for us. Our room was basic but it did the job. Would have been nice for a bit more space. We were in the deluxe room 2nd row back from the beach, with a fan. Which was actually great & kept us cool. If we were to come back, I'd upgrade to the rooms at the very front. The staff were very nice & work very hard & long hours. Overall we had a great stay & would come back. Koh Lipe is a fantastic island with not much to do apart from chill, swim & snorkel. Just what we needed! & sunbeds.

Not the Best Value

Initially, I made the error of booking a room without A/C. I thought I would be okay with the fan and open windows, since the temperatures at night on the beach is usually in 70s. I've slept comfortably at other beach bungalows that were much less expensive with no issues. However, the windows in the room here DO NOT have screens, and there is a sign that says to keep the windows locked at all times, even while in the room, because of theft. This creates a terrible sleep environment. It was too hot, stuffy, and too many mosquitos. I was able to upgrade to a room with window locks and AC, but I had to pay a rather high upcharge. While this made the stay much more comfortable, overall I'd pass on this resort next time I am in Loh Lipe. I'd opt to just pay slightly more for a true luxury experience. Breakfast was excellent, the beach and location is unreal and the staff are very nice. The only issue is the theft, lack of screens and issues with the windows. If that somehow got fixed this place would still be overpriced but better. 5/10.

Great part of the beach, 200mm to zodiac and then north point. Def recommend staying on sunrise. Beachfront bungalow was great comfortable bed and nice amenities. Staff super friendly and the beach massage staff are excellent

Such an amazing place, cabins were amazing, staff was amazing. I have nothing but great things about this place. Breakfast was great, drinks and food at the elephant restaurant was amazing as well. Definitely book here, you won't regret it. If you want to be by the walking street, its not for you. You have to walk the beach down for about 5 min then cross the resort down an ally to the strip. It was perfect for me, but took a second to find the way.

Problems sorted to total satisfaction

Booked a room with air con (according to Hotels.com website, given a room with a fan which resulted in a sleepless night. Messaged Hotels.com the next day which was frustrating due to broken signals, but they refunded me immediately. Paid £40 to upgrade into a fantastic room. Checked out 4 days early.

No pick up from the port available which is fine as there’s taxis there but this wasn’t communicated and we were the only ones with no hotel pick up waiting. The rooms are basic but clean, the view is incredible and the beach is perfect!! The breakfast was good, you can select off of a menu rather than the typical buffet which made a nice change
