Wonderful place to stay for visiting Sarlat and surrounding areas. The cottage is very well equipped, very clean and comfortable Gardens safe and secure. Our 2 Lhasa’s were well at home.Outside space enjoyable and a great place to catch some sun. BBQ perfect Would highly recommend

Old fashioned charm

As Cathy, the Gite owner, had told us she would not be available for the first week of our holiday, i had to message her to find out where to pick the key up.The mattress is solid foam, so not compatible with very hot weather, making nights quite uncomfortable. There was no iron or ironing board as shown on the iitinerary, but was provided on our middle weekend. They were the bad points.The good points, set in some lovely grounds with rabbits playing on the grass first thing in the morning. Very quiet at night as the traffic on the road has ceased, but can be very busy during the day. Everything you would need is provided, although we always take some of own things, just in case. The wind out blinds provide shade for all the slabbed patio area, although they do keep the heat under them, but by the evening meal, the sun has moved and they can be wound back and it is nice and cool. The oven is electric and the hob gas, both easy to use. Would i stop again, yes. It is a four minute drive into Sarlat down the A704, so ideally situated for the Town, main route and chateaux.Cathy only speaks French and my French is limited, but we coped. It was easy to message and use Google translate.

Good location

Enjoyed our stay very much. The cottage is very spacious and comfortable with good parking. Location is excellent for exploring Dordogne with Sarlat just minutes away.

Lovely, very quaint, gorgeous views, excellent position.

It was the perfect rural retreat, lovely big enclosed garden and everything we needed. When we called the owner for help with the washing machine she was there in 20 minutes. The furnishings were quite old fashioned, but that really added to its charm. We had a lovely stay.

Country Comfort

The house is in country setting, yet you can be in the center of Sarlat in 7 minutes, it was quiet and peaceful. The house had all the amenities needed to enjoy our stay, the hostess had the most pleasant smile, highly recommended.

Great location

The property was ideal for us, great enclosed garden for our dog. Kathy was very welcoming and helpful. The accommodation is quite rustic which is reflected in the price. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it for anyone with a dog. Very close to Sarlat which is beautiful . A short walk up the hill brought us to a lovely village and church which was beautiful.Follow the yellow signs in the village for a lovely circular walk back to the property via a bar, shop and cafe.

A restful country cottage

This property gave the impression of once having been a family home. Then we found that it was! It is comfortable and practical. In cold weather the heating is very welcome. The kitchen is well stocked. Everything that one needs is provided. The TV didn’t work well, but internet was fine. The owner is so helpful and kind.

Warm and comfortable gite

The gite was perfect for us. It was a cold time of the year but the house was warm and comfortable. It is in a great location for Sarlat and the garden was great as we took our dog with us. We would stay there again.

Centrally located to explore this great region

Cathy is a wonderful host. She shared the story of the house and told us about her family. She wanted to be sure we had everything we needed. She gave us a great recommendation for a local provider of foie gras. The house is simple, set in the middle of green fields, very comfortable with parking and easy access to the nearby medieval town of Sarlat and many other great, not to be missed, sights such as Lascaux, Josephine Baker's Chateau des Milandes, Rocamadour, Perigueux and numerous chateaux throughout the countryside. The kitchen is equipped to prepare easy meals, individual heaters in each room and a great towel warmer in the bathroom that dries your laundry overnight and keeps the room toasty at all times. It was cold and damp when we stayed there in October. WiFi did not work well for us but it is a temporary situation as Cathy was in the process to upgrade the system. Overall we truly enjoyed our stay there. I would recommend Cathy's property for those who want to experience the rural side of France too easily missed by tourists.

La casa nos ha ofrecido todo lo que necesitábamos para unas felices vacaciones en familia y con nuestros perros seguros en el jardín bien vallado .Cathy y su familia son personas cercanas y que hacen todo lo q pueden para que tú estancia sea lo mejor posible.La casa no tiene aire acondicionado cosas q ya sabíamos ,por lo demás todas las comodidades,horno ,lavadora,lavavajillas ....y unos vecinos encantadores q nos echaron un cable al vernos en apuros a causa de una gran tormenta q tiro un trozo de valla.Resumiendo Anfitriones perfectosCasa relación calidad _precio estupenda y muy bien situada
