It’s hard to fully capture how special my stay at El Guayacan was. It was magical, restorative, fun, and truly beautiful.
Communication before arrival was seamless, with helpful guidance on getting from the airport to Zipolite and everything I needed to feel prepared. Ricardo welcomed me warmly, showed me around the property, and made sure I felt at home from the start. He’s attentive, kind, and genuinely cares about the guest experience.
The casitas are thoughtfully designed, quiet AC, a very comfortable bed, honor bar, beach essentials, and a stunning bathroom with an outdoor shower that became a highlight, especially under the starry night sky. The balcony views over Playa Zipolite are simply breathtaking.
The owners, Martti and Fridtjof, are exceptional hosts they are warm, present, and dedicated to making every guest’s stay memorable. What stood out most to me (beyond the incredible hospitality) was the pool area: a beautiful lap pool with a relaxed lounge setting that naturally brings people together. Traveling solo, I especially appreciated how easy it was to connect with others and form a sense of community.
The location is perfect, slightly up the hill for peace and privacy, yet just minutes from the beach, restaurants, cafés, and evening spots.
Thank you to everyone at El Guyacan for such a memorable week. I’ll definitely be back.
