They did not honor the hotels.com price and overcharged our two rooms upon checkin. We requested a refund and have not gotten any feedback. Including the two days while on property, they did not respond in kind to gain our original price in a refund.

Where to begin... First, shown to a room that wasn't ready and told we would get texted when it was. An hour and a half later, still no text and a family entering the room we'd been shown. When we returned to the front desk, found out they had taken us to the WRONG ROOM and our room was not only a completely different building, but a different property -- The Ala Mar Motel instead of the Villa Rosa Inn. Room had a large TV but no remote to operate it. Housekeeping left cleaning supplies in the room (dustpan, broom, spray bottle). The top bathroom door hinge is separating from the frame so you have to LIFT the door to shut it. And bathroom fixture only had a single bulb (of three) working. Exposed wiring in the ceiling from, presumably, an old light fixture that had been removed. Front desk accommodated a noon checkout (instead of 11), but housekeeping knocked at 10:30am and asked "Are you leaving?"

I had a villa downstairs from my sister and noticed that mine was missing wine glasses and a few other minor differences. We were never told where breakfast would be served and the times.

Easy check in, wonderful staff and really enjoyed the feel of the hotel. I might suggest clearing some of the furniture out of the hall way to the rooms. 1. it’s narrow 2. Evacuation obstruction. Will definitely be back!

I should expect much better for Santa Barbara and beautiful location. Very small parking area on property. Restricted parking nearby. Noisy. No air conditioning made it feel stuffy. Water came out brown in shower, and plumbing was noisy. Outside brush was coming through window. Ice maker did not work. This property needs to be renovated to higher standards.
