Paul was a wonderful host. He was incredibly helpful, even digging out an outlet converter when I thought mine didn't work. The Palou is charming and a very convenient walk within the town.

This was a pretty hotel. My wife and i would have loved to spend more time here, had we not had a flight to get to. We were made very welcome and comfortable. Will definitely like to come again.

The room is fine. The hotel manager who gives all service is not a nice person. Unable to coffee he sent us to town. The area around the hotel is neglected. Not recommend

Fabulous hotel

We had a problem finding the hotel as we were looking for the main image on the web site which showed rear of property. Having got past this minor problem however everything was really good. We had a great welcome and the owner booked us into a local restaurant for a fabulous evening meal. The hotel was very clean, stylish and well equipped - although I can’t recall if it had a tv in the room. We stayed there towards the end of a touring holiday travelling through both France and Spain and this was our favourite hotel of the whole trip.

Wonderful Family Run Hotel

Great pool and outdoors areas with blossoming flowers and places to sit and lounge. Outstanding and personable service : kind, helpful, professional and reasonably priced. Good breakfast by the pool or indoors with homemade treats and freshly squeezed orange or tangerine juice. This hotel hearkens back to another era in all the best ways- gorgeous traditional Spanish tile and furnishings. Classic elegance (but with topnotch AC and Internet.) Pao - the manager whose family owns the hotel - was ever helpful, personable and present whenever we needed assistance. It feels like we actually got to know a new corner of the world vs some anonymous hotel chain.

Charming boutique hotel

The hotel room was lovely as was the entire property. We could meet other family on the patio, by the pool. Found a good restaurant nearby on Sunday night.

Amazing breakfast

We made a late booking to stay the night before. On initial arrival the hotel was locked but eventually managed to contact them to check in as the only guests. Once checked in, hotel and staff were good. Room was good size, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was an additional cost to the booking but an amazing choice and highly recommended.

Quiet location, good for leisurely stay.

Good first impression: lovely furnishings, comfortable lounge area and courtesy bar, quick check in. Owner accompanied us to secure car park near by. Pretty spacious room but even the owner had difficulty trying to open/close the folding shower door which opened directly into the room. Large terrace with furniture, ideal for sundowner overlooking well kept pool and garden. Washbasin area in room had floor lifting due we suspect to water leaking from shower. Separate w.c. Good sized bed and lovely linen, towels and pillows. Very poor bedside and bathroom lighting, No shaving/make up mirror. Base of shower very slippy and no grab rail. Only one armchair for two people in very large room. Tricky door lock. Breakfast very impractical. It does not start until 9, so everyone arrived at once. The menu is very extensive and takes ages for everyone to order.The taster plate was unnecessary and time consuming as every item on it had to be explained to every table and it spoilt the appetite. We felt Pau had tried to do too much at the same time.My husband had finished his scrambled eggs before I got mine. He ordered his with beans, but was surprised to find the (jar) beans mixed in with the eggs. Not a good combination. Mine with shrimps was very salty. Pau was answering the phone and check outs as well as serve indoors and out. The lengthy time taken to have a simple breakfast of scrambled eggs meant we were late for our appointment in Barcelona. Hotel best for leisurely stays.

Wonderful stay, highly recommended!

Absolutely wonderful stay! If you're looking for a lovely room, brilliant hosts and an outstanding breakfast this hotel is for you. There is a pretty garden with a good sized pool for swimming, air con and a nice bathroom, free parking for the car and reliable wifi so for us, we couldn't have asked for more. Antonia's breakfast was unbeatable (every day a different delicious medley of appetisers on a slate before you order from a long list of hot and cold breakfast options) and Pau was always around to help us with everything from tips on where to go (his recommendation of the local bar/restaurant a 5 min walk away was great: El Pot Petit, highly recommended) to helping us to order taxis when we needed them (his English is excellent). Very easy to get into Barcelona city or Sitges (€10 in a taxi to the latter) and lots of pretty areas and great beaches within easy driving distances. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone - thank you for a wonderful stay!

Amazing old house and fantastic breakfast!

This is an amazing place! We loved it - Pau looked after us so well, the rooms were fantastic and the pool area really relaxing. Breakfast selection is all local/organic and very tasty and the recommendations he made for around the area were great. A great place to stay in this lovely area.

beautiful old style hotel. quiet and relaxing.

Myself and husband stayed 3nights for relaxing private break. Hotel was perfect. The owner was very friendly and spoke good English. The service and ambience was perfect. Breackfast served off AL a Carter menu, cooked fresh everymorning was top class. Best ever. Overall, you could not complain about anything. Clean relaxing garden and pool. Would definately return. Great value also.

A gem of a hotel

We absolutely loved this hotel. It is a beautiful old house and the owners were so helpful. We found the location to be really quiet but only a short bus ride to Sitges. The pool is great and we will definitely return.

Excellent value in a hotel with character.

A hotel with plenty of charm and the breakfast and service was excellent. Served on the porticoed terrace by the small but immaculately clean swimming pool. You do need a car and Sant Pere de Ribes is not the prettiest place but we enjoyed returning to this quiet location after a day in the hustle and bustle of Sitges.

Quaint hotel within short drive of Sitges Beach

Charming little property in the quiet town of Sant Pere de Ribes. Hotel is lovely, the rooms very clean and comfortable. Only complaint was the weak air conditioning. Fortunately, the weather was pleasant enough to sleep with the terrace doors open but a fan would be necessary any other time. Hotel Palou is otherwise still a great find if you need serenity and relaxation but within easy access to Sitges and proximity to the main road, and someplace we'd stay again when visiting the area.
