I stayed here for two nights. The pros: - The room was clean. - The staff were friendly. - Melanie was able to accommodate me with an early check in. (1:30pm) - Location was great as it was close to where I needed to be and also not too far from San Diego. The cons: - no hair dryer in the room. I called the front desk on each day and they mentioned they would need to find one but unfortunately after 2 nights I still did not receive a hair dryer - the lobby area and walkways have shown its age. You can see the wear and tear on the structures and there’s certain unpleasant smells in certain areas of the hotel. - nitpicking but breakfast was simply granola bars and packaged muffins That being said, you get what you pay for and I wasn’t expecting the hotel to be perfect. The cons did not ruin the experience of traveling to San Diego/San Marcos for me. I enjoyed my stay which is why this still deserves 5 stars.

Dirty everything. Not one clean part. Bathroom had feces on the walls. Was given dirty clothes in the bathroom to shower with. Beds are very firm and uncomfortable. A motel 6 puts this place to shame. Front desk lady Melanie was rude. I wouldn’t recommend anyone staying here. Room was 209 for one night and felt worse than a hostel

The front desk person that was there at the desk when my son tried to check in at 2 AM told him it was too late to check in and didn’t let him check in. He ended up having to sleep in his car that night. She was obviously discriminating against him for some reason. I called the manager the next day and she apologized and was very sorry that the reservation desk woman treated him that way and refunded my entire stay. So in that regard, the manager was very responsive and took care of things right away but the front desk agent was horrible. I hope she was fired. Needless to say I will never stay at an extended stay hotel because of her actions going forward.

We had a nice time in the hotel. We were in town for business and rented for the week. The room was a nice “apartment” away from home. The only thing, and this is a whatever, is the smell in the hallways from all of the different kinds of cooking going on in each room. Other than that, it was a very comfortable stay and will be back!

Free “breakfast” claim is false & misleading

The “free healthy breakfast” was coffee and oatmeal packets (heavy sugar added) with cups for the oatmeal. There was an empty small refrigerator where most motel/hotel locations have milk/yogurt …… there was no employee to be found in the lobby area in the morning. To management: just be honest.

Liked - Hotel was fairly clean. Disliked - In room kitchenette had basic micro & refrigerator, nothing else, not even a mini coffee maker. You had to request additional items for a rental fee. First time staying in a hotel with kitchenette that had NO coffee maker.

We asked for a hair dryer on the front desk and they never brought it in to the room. Also, our neighbors on the front room were having a party or friend reunión in their room and they were making a lot of noise during the night that it made us feel uncomfortable and hard to sleep. Other than that everything was good.
