Stayed 5/11 2025. We come to this property when we come to Avila! Rooms have fireplaces, mini fridges & microwaves. But not sure if it’s in all. We just had the standard so I assume they might all have it. We love how quiet it is, we love the patio with several fireplaces & wide oceanfront view. Beach access by stairs (you’ll feel the burn walking back up though! My only negative review is the pool area. Clean, but there are no towels in the pool area, and not much shade. There was only 1 umbrella when we went. Seating available & wheelchair lift for the jacuzzi. Other than that it is a nice little pool, but could get crowded with more than 3 families depending on the size.

Amazingbview

Our stay was very good. The room was beautiful and the view was amazing. Our only complaint is, do not get room 416, it’s right next to the pool and there’s a loud hum all night. We thought it was the pool filter. It kept us awake most of the night. We had a room with a patio and a back door, perfect!

Just okay

This place is just okay, the bath tub had rust in it and our room was not cleaned very well. There was a bandaid floating in the hot tub when my son and I got in, it was still there the next day. Property is smoke free, but guests were smoking in the pool area, drinking, and there were so many kids in the pool my son kept getting hurt by other children jumping in. Property is nice, but smaller than it appears in photos. The beach access is great. Probably wouldn’t return.

The views from the property are stunning, the room was extremely comfortable, the fireplace in the room was a lovely extra, fireplaces outside to keep warm while admiring the view were amazing. Hot tub was very nice. Access to the beach and convenient walking distance to the pier. This stay was exceptional and I wish we had more time to just enjoy this lovely property.

I had to ay $10 per day to park even tho there was an allotted space. The cleaning ladies never came to our room. We finally had to complain. We were there for 6 days so everyday we would need new coffee, sugar and cups. Garbage cans needed dumped.

Cottage Inn By The Sea is in a beautiful location on the bluffs overlooking the ocean. They have an outside pool and jetted hot tub. Our room as ocean view (be sure to request ocean view) and and fireplace and comfy view balcony near several outdoor fire pits. Great place.Well managed. Starbuck's coffee in the room and in breakfast room with tasty breakfast burritos and other treats that you can buy. We'll be back !
