Great Location and at an Affordable Price!

We went to SLO to visit the Mission and Hearst Castle. The Avenue Inn was located in a perfect spot and at an affordable price. We took the train there so we used public transportation alot, and luckily the buses stopped right in front of the Inn. The staff was friendly and attentive. They provided us with extra coffee when requested, and were very helpful in guiding us through the downtown region.

This hotel is the Spirit Airlines of hotels.

Everything is a fee. Ask to check in early? $50 per hour. Check out late, $50 per hour. Don't turn in room keys, FEE! Location and base rate are good, but beds are hard, and water is lukewarm on a good day.

The room was updated in regards to bathroom. It was clean at a great price. At the beginning of downtown SLO, making it walkable. A few steps away from Bus Stop 2B, Super close walk to great breakfast options. High End Two Star Motel.

I see why the reviews are so good. It's an excellent value. The place was clean, quiet, and felt safe. The room looked like it had been recently remodeled. There is ample free parking. Three coffee spots are within a 3-6 minute walk. Plus, it's an easy walk, approx. 8-10 minutes to downtown restaurants.

Excellent less expensive option & super convenient location at the end of downtown. Rooms are very clean & updated. Loved that I could walk to downtown coffee, restaurants and shops without using my car.
