My wife and I stayed there for four nights the weekend February 7. It is certainly not a luxury hotel. Very basic and the rooms remind one of a dormitory. You actually have to move furniture in order to plug in your phone. No water glasses and the towels are thin. It is certainly close to the water. The waves actually come within 10 feet of the hotel. But no beach. You have to get in your car and drive a short distance for a very nice beach. However, no chairs are provided by the hotel so you have to bring your own or sit on a towel which is also not provided. Probably the biggest detraction is the neighborhood. Our view was of a abandoned and gutted house next door.
But the place was extremely clean and we have no complaints in that regard. The staff leaves at five and we had hardly any interaction with them in the four days we were there. There is no check-in or checkout process if we had to do it again I think we would spend more money and get a hotel in a better neighborhood with some amenities.
