We had an amazing stay even if it was just for the night. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating, we were able to check in early. We asked for dinner recommendations and were given several. Centrally located in el Viejo San Juan definitely recommend staying here as we will again in the future.

Second time staying at El Colonial and still excellent in every way. Great location, nice rooms, cool rooftop, and excellent service. Wish I was there right now!

I'd like to commend Christian and the staff at El Colonial! Super caring, knowledgeable, and pleasant to be around the whole time we stayed. Always had a smile on their face and their service was second to none. I'll definitely be back because of them. Restaurants, coffee shops, and bars are within walking distance. First time in PR and I had a great experience.

Staff was amazing. Rooftop had a great view. We were on the 4th floor so kinda rough but they staff helped with out luggage. Free drinks definitely didnt hurt. I would recommend for sure

Good location for exploring Old San Juan.

There we no food options at the hotel but there are lots of restaurants around the hotel. The bed was extremely comfortable.

Security was safe. Lobby area is very nice and modern. Friendly staff. Gave us a beverage from the bar while we waited for our room. Our room was on the third floor. No elevator. And no help with luggage. They held our luggage after checking out behind the open front desk. No storage closet.

El Colonial was wonderful! I gave them 5 stars regardless of the water situation I experienced during my stay. I loved the open bar, my room and its view!! The staff was friendly! I'll definitely stay again!!

Charming place, very clean but beware there’s no elevator if you’re traveling with heavy luggage or have knee problems, also some of the the workers are not the nicest, I was left talking to myself a couple of times.

My stay at El Colonial was better than expected. I needed a single night’s stay and my expectations were exceeded. The hotel is beautiful the amenities were amazing and I would most definitely stay here once again with more time.

Open bar was helpful, staff was friendly, and location was good. Bathroom shower was dirty, and especially the shower floor (mold on floor, I showered with flip flops). Water pressure was very low so it took twice as long to shower.
