The Don Rafa is a gem! It is very convenient for dining and beaches. The facility is lovely, including the rooftop pool deck. The staff go out of their way to ensure guest comfort.

We stayed at this hotel for one night prior to us boarding a cruise. The hotel staff was friendly and very accommodating to our needs. The hotel was clean and the room was spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable.

We loved our stay here. The staff is incredible - so friendly. The front desk staff knew our names and used them every time she saw us after check-in. The room was very comfortable. It was easy to walk around beer. It was also conveniently located to catch an Uber to Old San Juan. I would highly recommend this hotel. We cannot wait to return.

The staff here was excellent and really made us feel welcomed and helped us with everything we needed. They also recommended local spots! Room service comes every day, and they text you to ask what time they should come. There are some delicious restaurants in the area within walking distance, as well as a grocery store, so there’s a lot around. It feels safe to walk during the day, and mostly safe to walk at night. The beaches are a little farther away than advertised. We ended up taking scooters, and that only took about seven minutes, but a walk would’ve taken 20 to 30 to the nice beaches. The valet parking is a little confusing. The valet are the ones who can let you into the building when you first arrive, otherwise it’s locked. Could’ve benefitted from better instructions on how to use the valet, because you can also self park once you have your key card. In general, I’m not sure I needed a car staying here. Scooters and walking can get you most places, and we Ubered to Old San Juan. The pool is very shallow, so it could be deceptive if someone wants to swim in the pool, as it’s more for wading. We stayed during the week and it was really quiet, but our last day it was a little loud near our room, with people laughing outside and cars honking. Not sure if that’s normal for the weekend. The room was impeccably clean, and they offered fun events like flamenco shows and live piano. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Very noisy dark hotel room (201) beside reception and the bar. Plant roaring all day and night outside the the room and no daylight. Breakfast poor, cats walking around when having breakfast. Bar service terrible and a cheap bell at reception to get the staff out from the back.

Nice property very clean and good atmosphere. The room was huge and spacious with a comfortable bed. We had a problem with the water pressure in the shower and the water would get super hot then super cold without touching the handle, very frustrating when showering.
