Neat property right in the middle of old San Juan. The unit had everything we needed plus character and charm. Property management was super quick to respond and very accomplished Would definitely recommend.

Location was great and staff very friendly when needed to call. Room had a small leak assuming from roof. We were on the 3rd floor and there is no elevator or staff to help. Not good if you have a lot of heavy luggage and are not as young as you used to be. The room was clean and ac worked good. When in bed you can feel the mattress springs. Pillows were way too thick to be comfortable for me and my wife. If you are staying for a night and not a lot of luggage then it’s a good option as the price is good compared to other hotels around the area.

We visited Viejo San Juan for my friends birthday and this place was PERFECT! Right next to everything which made it super easy to walk to enjoy our trip. It raining very hard one of the days which did cause a few leaks in our room but the staff switched our room quickly and efficiently! They didn’t hesitate in helping us with that issue which we greatly appreciate ♥️ I will stay here every single time I visit Viejo San Juan. Felt very safe and secure on the property since the front door requires a code to get in. LOVED STAYING HERE!

There is no elevators or staff to help with luggage. I went my elderly aunt and another couple who the husband just had openheart surgery and no one to help with luggage. Its very unacceptable. Then it rained and water was coming in from the ceiling since the first day we were there. I emailed and they said nothing could be done. It was a huge risk with eldery people to stay at this hotel under these circumstances.

The rooms were poorly described, smelled like mildew and mold, the common areas had extension cords EVERYWHERE, cockroaches and loud banging from construction early in the morning and lasts all day. Left after our first night. Requested a refund and was denied!

I stayed with my daughter one night before our cruise, they allowed us to check in early. The room was clean, very nicely decorated, it’s close to La Calle San Sebastián which is really fun. Close to shops and restaurants. Wonderful stay. Thank you Casa Las Ruinas.

Loved the setting and the traditional architecture- 20ft cielings, interior courtyard. Windowless room. However, absence of front desk was an absolute killer - i had an extra 50 lb suitcase full of expensive gear and no way to leave it before checkin or after checkout for even a 2 hours. So, stress and high inconvenience.
