Overall great stay. Minus the daily janitorial operation, could be improved tremendously. We had housekeeping knock the day before leaving. Only time they knocked. The room I booked stated it would be with a balcony. once I got there it turns out that we were in a very tiny room. The bed space looked clean, but the actual bath shower looked unsanitary.

It is very clean inside, the staff are very friendly. No parking if you have a car leave it down at the end by the police station or where the cruises come in don’t risk getting towed. Very safe the door to get in locks after a certain hour and you can only get in with your room key. Someone is always at the front desk. Everything is within blocks it’s very convenient. Everyday our room was cleaned and we were given fresh towels and the bed was changed.

Everything went well at the property. The staff is friendly. The only thing which is still waiting to be resolved is that I paid for king size bed and received a queen size. Upon bringing this to the attention of the staff, I was told the Expedia reservation on their end stated I requested a king bed, not that it was included on the reservation. I sent over screenshots via email to the manager and was told there must be a mixup with expedias system. The resolution was to have Expedia follow up with a discount which the manager of the hotel stated he would approve. I submitted a complaint to Expedia as advised by the manager of the hotel and have yet to receive a resolution. Regardless of who’s fault it was between the hotel or Expedia, it should be on both parties to find a resolution for the guest, not the guest to have go back and forth between both parties.

The Armas hotel sits on the Plaza de Armas of San Juan, the city's historic main plaza. You can beat the amount of historical and cultural things to see and do that staying at this hotel provides. In addition, there are a wonderful array of restaurants in Viejo San Juan walkable from the hotel. As the old city can be heavily trafficked with tourists by day and night, the Armas hotel provides a quiet escape when one needs some time to regroup. It is clean, well climate controlled, and comfortable.

The stay was nice overall, and we appreciated the friendly staff. The hotel is in a great location just minutes from restaurants and tourist attractions, which made getting around easy and enjoyable. However, some of the pictures were a bit misleading. We thought the room we booked had windows and access to a pool, but it didn’t. That was a bit disappointing. After checkout, we were unexpectedly charged $200. We’re still unsure what the charge was for. I suggested my partner call to inquire, but he didn’t want the hassle. Despite these issues, we did enjoy ourselves and made the most of the trip.

This was the best experience ever, I will suggest to everyone Armas Hotel, hosting was amazing and so clean and nice. Also it is perfect if you plan to travel around Old San Juan, Armas is like in the middle of everything, you can walk everywhere from there.
