Was prepared to dislike this hotel but it turned out to be ok for a nights stay after flying into San Jose in the early evening. Staff throughout stay were pleasant and helpful, rooms bordering onto pools were basic and needed refurbishment but were again OK, breakfast pleasant and the hotel had great natural internal air circulation which helped keep it cool

I really wanted to leave the hotel a higher review but i have to be honest or there wont be any improvement for future guests. I really want to first comment on how courteous and professional the staff were...specifically Maria and Stif. They both took great care of me and i really appreciate them. However, the reason for my 3 vs. 5 stars is the hotel was without hot water for days 1-5 and 9-10 of my 10 night stay. The fix was out of either of their control and Maria was kind enough to compensate me a couple meals but i have to say the tepid showers really ruined my experience here. I later found out through a little bird that the hotel had been experiencing hot water issues 3 weeks before i ever arrived. When i brought it up i was led to believe i was the first person to mention the issue. I feel i was decieved and the hotel should have reached out to there incoming guests before arrival to at least give them the opportunity to change their plans if need be. It would have been extremely expensive for me to adjust my reservations to another hotel by waiting until the night of arrival. When i looked it would have cost me an additional 600 for a nearby hotel being that i booked my reservation about 6 months in advance. Im not gonna beat a dead horse but I felt this was not what you would expect from a name like The Wyndham. To end on a good note, the breakfast and the staff, the gym and the staff and finally the housekeeping and staff were incredible people as well as facilitie

We were only there for like 10 hours. The hot tub was cold, the shower sucked, we ordered a shuttle for 2 AM to go to the airport that wasn't there and we had to order an Uber. The TV in our room we couldn't get any shows for my kids to watch. I'm sure this hotel was great 20 years ago, but it's time to do some updates.

The common areas like the lobby and the pools are lovely. They take pride in their gardening and it shows. The staff were all helpful and courteous. The hotel is working to rejuvenate rooms and hallways. As I walked around I could see that some areas had been refurbished. Unfortunately, our room was not one of them. But, we still felt it was good value for us and appreciated the breakfast, resort like atmosphere and the complimentary airport shuttle.

Pros: The location is very convenient — it’s close to the airport and near most of the rental car facilities, which makes travel logistics easy. The rooms are generally clean and more spacious than what you might expect in this area, which is definitely a plus. Cons: The building itself is old, and the bathrooms are clearly outdated. No matter which room I’ve stayed in, the showers always look worn and somewhat dirty due to age and condition. The overall property could really benefit from renovations. The pricing for food is also disappointing. Breakfast was $40 for two people, which feels excessive for what is offered. The on-site restaurant, Quatro, was even more underwhelming — $145 for two people and the food quality did not justify the price at all. Overall, the location and room size are strong points, but the outdated facilities and overpriced dining options make it hard to fully recommend without improvements.
