We had 4 nights at Stanford Court. The hotel is right by the cable car stops, so it was really easy to get around town. The staff were polite, and the hotel was clean. Coffee and tea was refilled daily and they were happy to give us extra if we wanted it. The only oddity was that the lifts kept going to the 8th floor - so many people commented on it -and as the floors weren’t that clearly marked from inside the lift, we did get out a couple of times only to discover we were on floor 8, not floor 5, when we were the only ones in the lift. It amused us if nothing else.

Hotel was overall quite good - we stayed in a premier room with a king bed on the 5th floor. The city view was great. The hotel was clean and as described on the booking / photos. The breakfast buffet was good although only a few hot options. The gym facilities were okay but lacked heavier dumbbells / a range of machines. The hotel also has chilled filtered water machines which we loved. The widows in our room did not seal very well so we could hear the traffic (including the trams) on Powell Street. Bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. Please note that the hotel is on one of the highest hills in San Francisco. We made the mistake of walking our heavy suitcases up from Powell Street up to the hotel. I would pay for an Uber/Waymo next time. My partner and I walk a lot at home and we did struggle a bit with walking up the hills after going out for the day so consider budgeting ubers if you don't want the exercise.

Good location. Good option for parking although takes time to bring car around. Nice gym. Very slow elevators during high use times. Room windows open but make noise from the outside wind. Breakfast setup is smart and fast if in a hurry. Price was reasonable for what was available.

This hotel is top tier. Cable cars cross right in front so you do get some noise but nothing crazy. The bar set up is so cool and the bartenders know what they’re doing here. Everything in close proximity
