Good stay overall

The location was central and good, close to the cool neighbourhoods like North Beach. The room was nice enough but the hotel felt a bit dated. There was a subtle weird smell which felt like it needed fresh air. The staff was polite and hopeful and overall it was good stay. I chose this hotel as it seemed like a good value and at the end it was an ok price for the room I stayed in.

Room was clean. Beds were very comfortable. The bathroom pocket door was a little fiddly (hard to close) but that was minor. The hotel was surprisingly affordable for the fantastic location and amenities. Walkable to Union Square, Chinatown and North Beach. Restaurant food was decent. Gym was well equipped. Really enjoyed our stay!

The best place to stay in San Francisco

A wonderfully friendly place, convenient, fresh and filled with gorgeous views over the city and the Bay. In a competitive environment, I can't think of a better place to stay in all San Francisco, and I go there whether I'm on a business trip or with family. The breakfasts are excellent, everything is light and playful and the staff are often really engaging.

The hotel was very well located. We were in walking distance of Fisherman's Wharf and Chinatown and could get the cable car back to the hotel if we didn't want to walk back up the hill. The rooms in the hotel had plenty of space and were very comfortable. The staff were all helpful and friendly.
