L'hôtel était bien! Très propre. Les murs sont en carton, mais nous n'avons pas été dérangé par les voisins durant la nuit. Pas beaucoup de SDF dans le coin. Je vous suggère de ne pas aller au sud par contre, gardez Sutter st. vers l'est si vous ne voulez pas vous retrouver dans le mauvais quartier. Pour le prix c'est parfait!!!

This place is beautifully retro CHIC! Friendly, clean and comfortable.Closest Parking costs $50 overnight, that was kinda steep! Oh wait, we're in San Francisco, everything is steep here! 😜

Good stay, just a few hiccups

I am satisfied with our stay here. Some sites say that it is soundproof, but it was not. In the room, we could hear both the TV and the conversation next door. We could also hear people laughing in other rooms down the hallway. We asked for a quieter room and got one at the end of a hallway on another floor which was quiet. Both rooms were quite small, both queen bed rooms. The water in the shower the first night was hot, but in the afternoon (10am-1pm) the next day it was cold. We tried it each hour, but it never turned warm until evening. Service at the hotel was nice, they brought us a fridge when I needed it to store medication. They also brought our bags up to the room. The room was clean, had nice features like Bluetooth mirror, TV with screen casting, and spacious closet. I would stay here again, as long as we make sure to have a quiet room again. Thanks!

Lovely reception staff Tamer and Julia. We did have a little issue with the maid service. For some reason the bed was not made at all during our stay (4 days) and the room only once. Maybe the little hand tags on the doors would help? Beside this we enjoyed our time in San Francisco and would come back to Hotel Julian.

First room had a malfunctioning AC unit. They were able to move us to a different room in a timely manner. From then on, we had no problems. Staff was friendly. Great stay!

The lobby is not as nice as in the photos, but the room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. It was way at the back of the building, so zero street noise - which is quite impressive for that part of the city (though a fair amount of noise from feet overhead). It was mostly clean, but the floors were not - there were long black hairs all over the floor. I have very short hair, so they definitely weren't mine. I mentioned it at the front desk the next morning, and they said they'd have it cleaned. I got back to my room that night and there was still hair everywhere. I mentioned it the second morning and was assured they would see to it. Got back that evening - still hair everywhere. I counted 28 of them, in the bathroom, the closet, all over. The fact that nobody there could see to that, even after I asked nicely, twice, is pretty unimpressive - both in terms of standards of cleanliness and of customer service. So I cannot recommend.

The walls are pretty thin though, I heard the person next door talking loudly on the phone I literally thought they were in the room for a second. Really lovely hotel, great location that feels just close enough to downtown area but also far enough away to be affordable. Really lovely staff and the rooms are super clean and modernized. No carpets in the rooms so sometimes the temp fluctuates a bit, but otherwise its a lovely hotel!

A great, affordable option for visiting SF. Front desk staff is super helpful and accommodating and the rooms are clean, modern, and have basically everything needed. The lack of a mini fridge is unfortunate but easy to overlook given the other upsides.
