2025 Six weeks visit with family

This is a great place for a retired couple who are also grandparents to rest, vacation with family in and around Mission Beach, Pacific Beach and greater SD, and play with our grandson on our patio or on the beach just steps away. The property has everything we needed to call it home for 6 weeks…full kitchen, grill on the patio plus a great propane “fire pit” for roasting marshmallows for s’mores! and for keeping warm while visiting on chilly January evenings!As with any home it had some maintenance surprises but when informed the owners were very quick to reply and repair. This is a quieter neighborhood than closer to Pacific Beach and very walkable to markets, restaurants and bars. Belmont Park is close but not too close to be noisy.We had a great time and want to come back again next year!

Summer Vacation in July

Great place, great patio and perfect location to ocean, bay, restaurants and shopping. Parking is also easy which is key when at the beach!!

Fun stay

It was really good. We had some difficulties with parking when the maintenance people were there. Other than that it was great. It really is so close to the beach and shops. Would stay again.

Great location

We had a great time in this condo. It was a great location and very clean. It had everything we needed. The fact that there was parking is a HUGE plus. It is tight for larger vehicles but the other people that stayed in the condo were gracious enough to work together and everyone fit perfectly!!! We will stay here again.

Very Cute for Couple getaway

The home is very cute for a couple. We are a family of four with small littles and it was too crowded for us. It’s a perfect location though! The house has very thin walls so you can hear everything from the rental above and to the side. The pull out couch was very springy but they had extra blankets that we were able to use to pad it. The home wasn’t very clean. The dishes had food residue, the toilet had caked up residue around the hood hinges, the floor didn’t seem like it was swept or mopped, and we kept finding random hair on the bathroom mat and towels.

Good place to stay at the beach

This is a compact beach vacation cottage, not fancy or plush but comfortable. Close to the beach for walks and just a short walk to some nice dinners. Plenty roomy enough for two people. Very good king bed, and we slept well. Good shower and nice towels. They had a good Wi-Fi connection, which was needed as our Verizon cell phone service was bad (not owners fault). The walls are thin, however. Our neighbors were not sharing secrets, otherwise we might have learned them. A little noisy overhead. Thankfully, they quieted down at night. (And everyone in the neighborhood was wonderfully friendly.) Unit had a nice stove and fridge (I like to cook vacation breakfasts). So overall good. However, several little things could have made it more enjoyable. They did not leave enough dishwasher soap to run all our loads. Similarly, the clothes washer outside only had one laundry pod. The umbrella on the patio really needed some maintenance and oil, and was quite a chore to put up. Little things, but it detracted from what the unit could have been. Still, overall good place to stay.

We had a fantastic stay in SanDiego at Mission Beach! My boys loved the beach house and proximity to the beach boardwalk and Belmont park. Highly recommended for a spring break or family vacation in San Diego!

Close to beach

Small bathroom need to add a rubber Matt in shower. Parking is very tight! So small car suggested. Owner very helpful. A luggage stand would be good to add.

Great location, small rental

We loved being so close to the beach, and the outdoor patio would have been amazing but the weather did not cooperate. This is a great rental for a couple, but it is very small and the mattress on the sofa bed is badly in need of replacement. This neighborhood is super fun, especially with the beach path so close by. We saw dolphins and whales from the pathway!

Very quaint

We enjoyed staying here. It was close to the beach and restaurants. The owner was quick to respond to us with a minor issue and we appreciated that very much. We highly recommend this little bungalow. Hopefully be back next year!

Awesome getaway

Perfect location just off the beach. Easy access everywhere we wanted to go and couldn't ask for more. Would definitely stay here again and the ability to book more of the house would be a great bonus with a group.

Cozy space

Love the parking space and locations of this property. I didn’t read all the information carefully so end up having to but shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion. They do y provide of that. The parking space is great but small.

Great location to beach, easy to walk to markets and restaurants

Nice little spot with all the necessities . My only recommendation is if you are a light sleeper bring earplugs because you hear the planes flying overhead starting early in the morning

Fabulous location

This vintage style beach cottage is so close to South Mission Beach, and just a few blocks to Belmont Park, restaurants and little convenience shops. It was a very comfortable stay, with just a few things needing a refresh at this point in the season. The king size bed was comfortable. The bathroom has a nice size shower. It just took several minutes to get hot water which felt a bit wasteful. The kitchen is well stocked with dishware, glasses and cookware. The dedicated parking space was tight as all seem to be, and was very much appreciated. We were able to get a Chrysler Pacifica in the space, so quite doable. There is a great outside courtyard/patio as is typical for cottages in the area. We enjoyed watching the sunsets every evening, and once enjoyed dinner at the Cannonball on their rooftop space at sunset. I understand the owner has multiple properties in a row and it would work great for an extended family or groups of friend to rent multiple units being able to gather together and retreat to their own space. This might be something our extended family could do in the future! Owner/property manager was very responsive and easy to work with.

Perfect location

Location is perfect, 30 second walk to beach. Everything you need to cook is in the unit. Comfortable furnishings. The only negative would be the lack of closet and dresser space. No place to put clothing that would normally go in a dresser. A suggestion would be to get rid of the little desk area in the bedroom, remove the nik nacks on the shelving there as thy are not necessary. Cute but not needed. Make that space shelving to put your clothing on.

Amazing beach getaway

Great place to enjoy the beach life! The patio hangout areas of all the houses in the area are especially great if you like to be social and see people coming and going. Steps to the boardwalk and beach, and all the entertainment and food around Belmont Park. Very nice place for a couple to relax for awhile!
