Excellent service and very clean room. Great location easy to walk to petco and gaslamp. Quick uber ride to little italy. I would definitely stay here again. The lobby bar very cool vibe too. Great old fashion

An historic building in the San Diego Gaslamp Quarter, recently renovated. The hotel is beautiful. Two things; there is not a passenger elevator, so if you cannot climb stairs.... In addition, the homeless population is large and is still a problem in the Gaslamp. While San Diego has tightened security and regularly power washes the sidewalks, posting warnings for their property removal, that is temporary and their presence is still not a clean one. It is more unsightly than unsafe, to be sure.

Check in was very quick and easy, the rooms were clean. The Hotel itself is very nice and located in the heart of the gas lamp quarter. Free Starbucks coffe and tea. The bar was beautiful and the drinks were delicious. Giovanni the bartender was very informative, in regards to suggestionint drinks. Will definetly stay again.

Great remodel on the hotel. The bar serviced great mixed drinks. It’s close to everything. I read some other reviews and I would like to cover some of them. 1. Some said the rooms were small. I stayed in a king size bed and the room was the right size. We go to see the sites, not sit in the room. The bed was comfy. There is only one chair but again we were only in our room to sleep. 2. No air conditioning. Our room did have ac, it kept it cool but it did get stuffy at times. 3. Noise outside. The noise is super loud outside, but you are in an old hotel and you are in the middle of gas lamp district. Running the ac did help. 4. The showers are small. I guess the people have never traveled to another country. I am 6’3” and not small. I was able to move in the shower without any issues. The staff is super nice and the bar/restaurant is super cool old vibe, the same with the hotel. It close to everything. I would stay again.
