Palihotel is an amazing spot to see Gaslamp and downtown San Diego. The elevator is slow, but it adds to the charm of the hotel. Beautiful rooftop, cool restaurant next door; and quirky rooms add to the unique feel

Would not stay at again. Bathroom was tiny, shower wouldn’t drain, sink barely drained, elevator was super inconvenient (took the stairs majority of the time), had to do the hotel’s valet for $65 a night with fees, and they take forever and move at their own pace.

The service at the front desk was quite disappointing when a problem with the room was brought to their attention, they did not do much about it, no sense of urgency to make the guest whole for the inconvenience caused by the room condition.

This hotel is somewhat run down. The elevators are old expanding gate style are frankly dangerous. The rooms are very small and consist of a bed and small bathroom - and many don’t have windows. The roof top deck is not always open. The lobby is dark and not conducive to work. There is no gym.

I was given a free beverage with my stay and when I checked out going to St.James French Dinner to claim my drink , I was told by the waitress that she had to prioritize customers on the floor so it would take a while for me to be served! Unaccepted ,rude, disgusting services. If you dont want to serve customers, dont give out free drink. I stayed at hundreds of hotels, got offers free drinks all the time, never once got treated like this. I will never go back to this hotel and St. James French dinner restaurant.
