The room was average but the area around the facility is surrounded by homeless encampments. While waiting to check in a homeless man came in there to get coffee which he started talking with me and other guests. He proceeded to keep getting closer and when I was checking in standing at the counter listening to the clerk asking me questions. I wouldn’t answer I would just hand get my info so she could read it. Very uncomfortable feeling and then waiting for elevator which took forever and made the decision not to leave the room that night. Just gave me and my daughter unsafe feeling.

Even though the Inn is old, the security and cleanliness were excellent. The area was not the best but the Inn was reasonably priced for San Diego.

Happy 85th Mom!

Staff was very accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Breakfast: waffles, hard boiled eggs, cereal, bagels, breads, packaged pastry, apple, oranges, steel cut oatmeal, orange juice, milk, and yogurt, coffe, hot chocolate, and tea. Coffee, cold/hot water and tea available all day. Room to gather and chat for our group of 9. The trolley was just a few blocks away.

Decent!

I stayed here with my cat for 2 nights to get away from the Border 2 fires. It had the best reviews in my price range for pet friendly. It was comfortable enough for the purpose of my stay and had free parking which is rare. The bed was a little hard but the pillows were nice. Breakfast was pretty good, waffle station, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, breads and spreads. The pool was empty, maybe for winter? The neighborhood was surprisingly quiet except for the occasional train or trolly. I was expecting to hear planes but didn’t. Maybe the walls are thick which was great! Unfortunately I got a couple of what look like flea bites from the carpet so good thing my cat is on flea medication. So they could probably vacuum better but the sheets and towels looked clean. Overall pretty ok motel!

Staff was very accommodating, hotel is old but very clean. Breakfasts are very good. WiFi is great. We were not aware that the pool was under renovation. Walking outside of the property is not recommended, but very drivable to local shops.

The place was really clean, staff was friwndly and we got dree breakfast. I loved the old school charm of getting dvds from reception to watch in our room. Is really easy to walk to old town park or if you dont want too then its a 3 min drive. Overall a great place for a really affordable proce
