Besides the lack of microwave and a small fridge, I'd say the place was pretty alright. They clean the rooms often, they have a decent selection in breakfast, however their walls are a bit thin and the place is next to a busy road.

Although it isn't in the most walkable area, this hotel rocks! The staff is lovely as are the grounds. It was most conviences you'd wish for. It's not a Hilton; The rooms are simple but comfortable. The pool is lovely and it is about a 12 minute walk to the transportation center. A great bargain

I'm not a hater and I have nothing against this property personally. The woman who checked us in was pleasant, and we didn't really experience any problems. I'm only leaving this review to counter the disinformation on the Expedia site. When I was looking for a place to stay, I used a filter and said I only wanted to look at places rated "Wonderful." Boy were we disappointed when we got there. There's no better word for this than "MOTEL." And the location is near a skid row area where RVs and tents are set up for the unhoused. The place was clean but old, and not in a charming sort of way. They had a pool but no hot tub, and the room was small, funky, and musty smelling. We ended up not staying the night, and drove home to L.A. instead. I was mad at myself for not doing more homework before booking this place. You might like it; we didn't.

Staff was great, Breakfast was good. Room was comfortable and verily quiet considering the location. It was an older hotel, but clean and somewhat updated. Location was great to get to the local attractions and the airport.

I am a frequent traveler to san diego. My all time favorite hotel to stay in has to be the old town inn. The front staff and the workers are very kind. I had the pleasure to have a decent chat with them while checking in and throughout the stay. The rooms are always clean and all though they only have basic cable they have the option to check out dvd movies which we did. The complimentary breakfast is one of my favorite things to enjoy while staying here. They provide a wide variety of breakfast options from bagels to eggs and oatmeal, to making your own freshly baked waffles and various choice of toppings. Highly recommend if you're just staying a night or two especially if you're going to be visiting old town San Diego park only a 3 min drive.

the only item not appreciated was lack of internet in our building during the entire time of our stay. We had to go to the lobby for internet. I would also appreciate more choices for breakfast. The food choice were good but not enough choices.

Great Hotel

New to San Diego. Heading out to the PCT and the shuttle departs from Ole Town. The hotel was convenient, quite, clean and friendly. Highly recommend.
