First and foremost - it's a great location on Pacific Beach, with a lot of restaurants and things to do nearby. That said, there are things we really liked, and some we didn't like. Good* The unit was very clean and seemed to have been remodeled recently. All of the furniture was in good condition and modern.* Great internet - if you are planning a working vacation you'll be all set. We both worked 3 of the 7 days we were there without any issue at all. * Location - it's mere steps from the boardwalk and beach, and walking distance to a number of awesome restaurants and stores. * Secure garage - it's gated and secured, no on street parking. Bad* Unfortunately the building is older, and as a result has some issues that come with age. During the time we were there, the bathrooms and sinks had a bit of a sewer smell which was unpleasant. We don't necessarily fault the unit here, as it seems it is a building wide issue. It was very noticeable though and worth mentioning. * In our opinion, the extra paperwork and required phone call in the rental process is a bit overboard. I understand the intent to protect the property, however this is the first time I've ever encountered this on a rental and the experience was off-putting. I would suggest improving the initial contact and verbiage. Info* Units along the beach often don't have air con, just be aware. This unit had many fans provided which was great! Overall, we enjoyed the stay and would rent again.
