Just a short one-night stay, but everything went smoothly. Beautifully furnished room, fast elevators. Easy access to Riverwalk - walk 10 mins to restaurants and shops. The only little annoyance is that an adjacent property is under renovation and they start work early (before 8am). The other thing to know is that they only have valet parking (@$60/day) but you can park on the street for free overnight (6pm-8am) or in nearby public parking lots ($18/day). Didn't get a chance to have breakfast, but they have a bar/restaurant on the top floor that has fantastic views. Next time we'll have breakfast there. I'm a fan - would definitely stay here next time in San Antonio.

Thompson is now the standard for my visits to San Antonio. They put every hotel in their place in this city while emerging as the pinnacle of comfort and quality service for any travel purpose. I do not have a single complaint about my 3 night stay. I look forward to my next visit!

Spa - The massage therapist was excellent. I was disappointed in the dry sauna. It did not get hot. I sat in there for over 15 minutes and did not break a sweat. The coffee shop was only open the first day there. The remaining days, it was closed to a "private party" but the party was in restaurant next door. We were told to go to the bottom floor restaurant but it didn't have the variety the coffee shop did. I feel it was a staffing issue. The restaurant on the top floor was very limited and was out of several items. The hotel was not busy while we were there so I was surprised they were out of items. They had to bring a different refrigerator to the room because the other would not get cold. They had to place the refrigerator on the floor which was in the way. The staff that were there were very pleasant.
