Excellent option for a SA visit. Having a kitchenette in the room was terrific. I would have liked some dish detergent, a dish cloth and towel for handwashing dishes. We just didn't use enough dishes (nor were there enough in the cupboard!) to warrant using the dishwasher. The only dish detergent provided was for the dishwasher.

Valet problems

The room and hotel itself was good the pool was pretty small and extremely cold . The reason why my experience was ruined was due to the valet they charged me $80+ for my vehicle a stock Toyota tundra “oversized vehicle “ according to them an expense that I wasn’t notified about when booking then to make it worse my truck has a compustar security system installed I notified the valet team multiple times to unarm the system before attempting to start the truck they set off the alarm multiple times and at one point one of them triggered the kill switch on my truck . I got a notification that 5 am that my truck had a level two schock alert so in the morning when I went down to ask to see my truck the valet team member told me that he had shaken the handle and that’s what had triggered the alarm when I told him that I wanted to see the vehicle he gave me attitude and was upset that I wanted to make sure my vehicle was okay . The valet will keep me from ever booking this hotel again which sucks because the location is pretty cold

The location is fantastic. Breakfast was decent, and the self-serve options (to buy) in the lobby area were good. The valet parking (required, or park off site somewhere) was a hassle - note that it is mandatory valet, no self-park, and is $40/night; also, because it is required of every guest parking on site, peak times WILL see you waiting for your car for quite a while. The hallways were dirty (we walked past the same q-tip, flosser, and piece of plastic every time we walked through the hall on our floor for the first 24 hours), the bed was very uncomfortable (huge saggy spot in the middle, so that you rolled inward unless you slept right on the edge), the a/c was very slow to cool the room down, the hot water was slow to heat up, and the tub felt like it had a slant towards the drain, making the shower/tub slippery.

Good hotel and a good price (but read further). Excellent location for downtown and river areas. Breakfast finishes at 9am :o( Valet parking is a ripoff at $40 plus tax per night (with no self park option) and we waited 40 minutes for the car after checkout before insisting on getting it ourselves. That was our lasting memory of the place. Shame.

Arrived at property at 3:35pm for check in. They wanted to charge an early check in fee because check in is at 4:00pm. We sat in lobby until 4:01 to save us the extra charge. So inconvenient! I understand a charge if you request a room 3-4 hours prior to check in.

Staff wasn’t very friendly. The best people worked the valet stand and they were great. The front desk staff acted shocked when I requested clean towels and for my room to be cleaned. The room was ok and the location is within walking distance for several attractions.
