The flags outside are appalling. Dirty , torn and twisted. The room was clean but smelled heavily of bleach. Somehow the name on our car keys at valet parking($40 a day!) was changed to another person and the valet person we were trying to explain the situation to didn’t understand what we were trying to say. They continued to call me by the wrong name through the entire stay even though we kept telling them they had my name wrong in the computer. Only two staff members were even close to being cordial, a female at the front desk with pink hair( greeted us warmly each time) and a female valet. Unfortunately I didn’t get their names. The dinners at the Gavel were excellent, and the coffee shop as well. The window in our room didn’t latch, we were on 6th floor. We had no kids with us but I could see that being an issue.Fan in bathroom ran but didn’t do anything. The gentleman at the front desk couldn’t give us a receipt or tell us what the charges were that we could expect upon checkout.Hotel pictures are definitely misleading. Short walk to Riverwalk. We stayed 6 nights and hoped that service would improve.We really wanted to like this hotel, we ignored the negative reviews when booking, however we will not be returning.

The photos are much nicer than the actual rooms. It doesn’t feel like they used professionals to update the rooms. The hotel is also not on the riverwalk at all. You can see part of the river from your window, but the listing is totally misleading about that. Would not stay here again.
