Spent one night at this property. Staff was welcoming and it was an easy check in. Accommodations were superb: comfortable king bed, great shower, and patio facing room with personal balcony. Easy walk to restaurants on the riverwalk. Overall, excellent stay

It was not a Condé Nast hotel experience. We are long time season ticket holders for the Broadway Across America matinees at the Majestic Theatre which is less than a block from the hotel. We often check in early at the hotel and if a room is ready we valet our car and leave our luggage in the room if there isn’t a room available, our luggage is stored by the hotel until our return. At our recent check in, I was told that yes there was a room available, but there was a $50 early check in charge. When I questioned the charge, I was told that this had always been the policy at the hotel. I’ve been staying at the hotel since it first opened and know that was not the truth. When we returned at 4, there was a long check in line that extended into the lobby and that were also groups of people sitting and standing everywhere with their luggage. The rooms were not ready. We waited until after 5 for a room. We weren’t even offered water. If you are going to charge for an early check in, than it only makes sense that you have to give a credit when the room isn’t available at check in time. I’m looking forward to a response… I
