Asked to have rooms connected and 2 different people told me what rooms that can be connected so I booked what they told me and that wasn’t the case, was told last minute I wouldn’t have connected rooms so we had to split the family up was not good

Staff VERY unfriendly and rude. Assigned me a room with television not working and when I asked for help I was told “There’s nothing I can do, we don’t have any more rooms.” I explained that I did not desire to stay in a room where the television did not work and that I had been visiting for my birthday. Then I was told, “I will see what I can do.’ I observed others checking in prior to this. So I do not know why I was told there were not any more rooms. I also had to explain that I had tried to check in earlier and was told to come back later. If / when I visit SLC again, I will not choose this hotel, nor would I recommend it. I was also informed upon check in that I would not have any housekeeping services and that they were short staffed .
