Avenues Traditional is the perfect location only 2.5 miles from Downtown SLC—University of Utah, Huntsman Cancer, Temple Square, City Creek Center, Salt Palace, Utah State Capitol, Bonneville shoreline Trail.
This DOWNSTAIRS studio suite is 250 square feet with its own outside entrance, ¾ private bath, 2 twin beds with a window, and a sitting area.
The UTA bus stop is 1/2 mile away on 11th Avenue. Great place for business travelers, couples, students and single adventurers.
The space
Welcome home to a private bedroom with two twin beds, sitting area, and a private 3/4 bathroom. It's on the basement level, so guests must go down a flight of stairs.
Guest access
This space has it's own private outside entrance. There are code locks on the doors for easy access without the hassle of key exchanges. I am available most evenings to assist my guests with any questions. It's downstairs, so you must be able to navigate one flight of stairs.
Other things to note
Don't miss the views as you drive to and from your new "home away from home"
No smoking in the home, or on the property, or near the home due to fire danger in the foothills. No pets. I'm aware of AirBnB's policy about service animals/emotional support animals, but I have severe pet allergies.
Make yourself comfortable in your air-conditioned vacation home. The bathroom has a shower and a hair dryer.

Room exceeded my expectations! Twin beds were comfy. Cute room with everything we needed (towels, shampoo, hair dryer and curler!) there was a closet with a mini fridge filled with complementary water bottles. A toaster and coffee pot that we did not use but great that they were there. Only thing that would have been great to have is a room air purifier. No windows to open but really, that would be so extra! And maybe there was one and I missed it because I didn’t even think about it till we were leaving! Marla welcomed us via text and chef in to make sure we were settled and temp was ok. Neighborhood was quiet and we saw families going for walks. We were 10-15min from The U. My car was filled with my daughters belongings and I felt very comfortable leaving my car parked on the street. Great stay and I’ll definitely keep this property saved for future use!

The host was such a sweetheart and I was able to enjoy a nice space 8 hours away from home while dealing with my daughter in the hospital. The fact that it’s so close to the hospital and other amenities made the whole situation better as I didn’t have to fight with traffic to the hospital, shops, groceries, or restaurants.

We wanted to stay close to town for a local convention and this was the perfect place! Beautiful views on the drive, and short distance to the city for anything you might need. So many little amenities provided that it's so easy to settle in feel comfortable. The parking was off street and still just steps to the door, and the check-in/out process was easy and seamless. Wonderful host, would absolutley stay again!

Great Stay!

Lovely basement studio that is even better than advertised. Marla and her husband are lovely and welcoming. There are several trails located behind the home. Very safe neighborhood with quick access to the U and Salt Lake City.

Marla is a great host! I love how she thought of the small things you may need during your stay. My room had an ironing board, an iron, a mini fridge, water bottles in the fridge, plates, cutlery and hanging space for your clothing with a few hangers. She also had the shower stocked with toiletries plus a curling iron and a blow dryer were on the shelf ready to use. I appreciate the cleanliness of the room and the thought that was put into the living space. Thank you Marla for your hospitality, it was a pleasant trip out.

Adorable little apartment

My daughter and I stayed here for two nights. The place is so cute, with comfy beds and a little sitting area. The shower is fabulous, and we used the mini-fridge and microwave to warm up leftovers from our SLC restaurant meals. The area is gorgeous and you're very near a popular hiking trail.

Quiet and Peaceful

This was a great place to stay while in SLC on a work trip. I needed a quiet, safe place to get well rested each night and this was perfect. Extremely quiet. Beautiful neighborhood. Clean. It's simple. Twin beds, a mini fridge and microwave, plus a few other extras (coffee, toaster, iron, etc.) Exceptional communication. Comfortable beds. A little gem.
