The check-in experience was very uncomfortable and unprofessional. The property appears to be run by a father-and-son team, and both made the process unnecessarily difficult. I was given a hard time because my ID was expired, despite explaining that I am in the process of renewing it and have never had issues elsewhere. They refused to check me in without a passport. The older gentleman was visibly hostile and made me feel uncomfortable, while the younger one was dismissive and lacked basic customer service skills.
After returning to my car to locate my passport (thankfully I had it), I was checked in. However, the room key initially did not work, requiring another trip back to the front desk. The front office itself was messy, with furniture being assembled during check-in, which added to the unprofessional atmosphere.
Unfortunately, the room was equally disappointing. The mattress was very old and noisy, and there was a strong, unpleasant odor in the room that became even worse when the air conditioning was turned on. Given how demanding and rude the staff were, I expected the room to be in much better condition—but that was not the case.
Due to the smell and the overall uncomfortable vibe, we checked out early. This was a very disappointing experience, especially as someone who travels frequently. I would not recommend staying here.
