The room was basic but clean and comfortable. Close to the train / bus station and an easy walk to the old town. Wifi only worked part of the time.

Close the railway station and walkable to old town. The staff and facilities were excellent and we enjoyed our time there. The breakfast was also good. Dark and fairly quiet room for sleeping. Our welcome drink was a nice touch.

Near the train and bus station. restaurants is just around corner. 15 mins walk to Intramuros. No kettle inside the room. Noisy if your room is along the road.

Check in was only at 3 pm and when I finally was able to check in they said the room wasn’t ready yet. When I showed my discontent they all of a sudden found me a room. Also I felt like the luggage consignment was a little sketchy as no one was really keeping an eye on the luggage. Anyone off the street could walk in and snatch a bag.

Extremely disappointing experience

I booked this hotel for my daughter (10 years old) and I on the 27th May. Our booking was for last night (7th July). We arrived late, around 10pm because our ferry from Guernsey was very late. When we arrived at the hotel it was closed. I called the emergency number but no one answer and went straight to voicemail so wasn’t very emergency oriented. With the help from a man from a local restaurant I managed to book a different hotel for the night. It was horrible as my daughter started to get very worried. I would like to have my money back for the terrible inconvenience.

The manager of the hotel was amazing, nothing was too much trouble. The room was basic but spotless. The building was old and had some little querks such as "the hill" on our landing just before our room door 😆. The lift was "compact" and just a little cranky at times, but it worked ..... mostly! Absolutely ideal location for the ferry terminal amd for touring the local area. Sadly for got to take pics of the hotel.

We had a single night stop-over and the hotel was just fine for that. Room a bit austere, though again fine for a night. Proper blackout curtains would have been an improvement. We had an excellent (and reasonably priced) dinner in their restaurant.
