We stayed at the apartment for 11 days during 2018NY holidays. In general our stay was Ok, but on our departure an unfortunate episode happen, which determines my low mark. Here I give some honest details (for which I don't reduce the mark) about apartment the apartment, which may be useful for new guests , and after that will explain the episode:
- the apartments are situated exactly near the piste. For us it was very convenient to come back for lunch; we were with children, so we were coming back went back during the day, were taking them with us to the slopes for 1-2 hours, and then were returning. Living on a slope is rather time saving;
- the apartments are not big. Whereas they are advertised for 7 people, the area is ~40 m2, and I can recommend it for 7 people for extreme cases (we are one family, so it was Ok for us);
- on our arrival the the apartments were rather cold, because nobody leaved before. We turned on all the heaters, but due to a big window and cold walls were not very comfortable. It took a day to warm up the building. On the next day we asked the concierge for and additional heater, but finally the apartment got heated;
The unfortunate episode was connected with final cleaning. There is no _any cleaning_ requirements mentioned in the advertisement. So we did the cleaning accordingly to our own understanding and to the level, at which we received the apartments on arrivals (nobody lived there, so there were some dust; the apartments are not new). We cleaned the dishes, put the trash into the containers outside, cleaned the table etc. We removed our linens and put the blankets to shelves. When the concierge arrived, she started to claim about everything, about the dishes, dirty table and everything else (including what we actually did). She was speaking only French, mais nous parlons les Francais petit peu, and she did not tried to explain us what was wrong (we could have improved level of cleanness in additional 10 min). In fact she was playing a performance for us... as finally she claimed we broke the additional heater (the one which we never used). Finally the concierge and the host withheld us additional 100euro from the damage deposit, as "the apartment was left in a different state and additional cleaning was required". I wrote to the host and explained the situation, but she rejected. I believe the host must have informed us about required cleanness, not simply rely on concierge (she is biased).
