I asked for early check in but was not checked in until 45 minutes after normal check in. There’s no food or drinks available at the pool until after 4 pm. I ate at the attached but separate steak hose for dinner and the service was mediocre at best. The valet service was excellent and friendly. I have stayed at the Sawyer many times in the last 5 years, things are looking like they need a bit of an update.

The Kimpton Sawyer is adjacent to the Golden One Arena and the surrounding area is lively (especially on game days). The staff is friendly and professional. The hotel is clean and has a luxurious feel. I have stayed here many times and will continue to stay here when I am in Sacramento.
