I recently stayed at this hotel as a solo female traveler, and unfortunately, it was not the most comfortable experience. Let’s start with the positives: the check-in was great. The front desk lady was super sweet, and she made me feel welcome from the start.
However, once I got to my room on the fourth floor, things took a turn. My window faced directly onto a building with a walkway right outside, which made me feel really uneasy and unsafe. To make matters worse, I discovered that one of the windows had actually been left unlocked and slightly open. This really didn’t help with my sense of security.
Cleanliness was another issue: the towels had stains on them, and the tissue box had used tissues left in it. It was just not a pleasant or clean environment. On top of that, I couldn’t sleep at all because there were constant tapping and banging noises throughout the night. The lights in the room were on some sort of auto-timer that kept turning off even when I wanted them on, and the temperature control was a nightmare. I set it to cool, but it switched to heat in the middle of the night, leaving me sweating and uncomfortable for hours.
The one real bright spot was the bar and a bartender named Otto. He was incredibly kind and attentive, even helped me charge my phone before I went out. So kudos to him for some excellent service.
In conclusion, while the staff had a couple of standout individuals, the overall stay felt unsafe and uncomfortable. Hence, the two-star rating.
