Decent hotel with one big caveat

The hotel is in need of an upgrade but was clean and functional. One of the better breakfasts included. Wish they added a little food mart instead of just vending machines. The big drawback is that there are a lot of homeless people around the hotel.

Comfortable stay excellent front desk.

Check in staff VERY friendly. Room nice and clean. Had mini fridge and stove. The only thing I’d make aware if you need a shuttle let staff know times as we didn’t know some else had booked the time we did for another area in Sacramento so we had to wait till it got back to go yo airport in morning which did work out but just make them aware. Shuttle from the airport to hotel was great on time.

Hotel was clean, staff was nice, and parking lot was secured with tall fences. I accidentally passed the hotel and made loop around the hotel to turn around and we encountered bunch of homeless encampments nearby streets.

Friendly stay

The beds were to hard for my taste I sleep on a pillow top mattress. The continental breakfast was good but they ran out of eggs on the second day. And the third day they ran out of bananas.

Amazing customer service

The customer service at Governors Inn Hotel is amazing!!! All the staff are super friendly and nice and it really makes a difference. We felt so welcomed and the airport shuttle is an added bonus that is super helpful.

Best hotel in an iffy area

Probably the best choice for the area. The hotel is in good condition. Room with 2 queens is large. I appreciate the renovated shower and the coffee maker. The breakfast provided is decent if high on carbs. The only issue is the large number of homeless less than a block away on the underpass. To get to restaurants we passed no fewer than 30 homeless tents, people making fires right on the sidewalk, and many people with addiction issues. Totally NOT the hotel’s fault. It’s just unfortunate.
