Comfortable place to stay

My husband stayed at this hotel two nights. The staff was friendly and the room was comfortable. They even honored, in a spirit of helpfulness, a request to service the room sort of late (3 PM or so). Totally recommend if staying in Sacramento.

My husband, kids and I stayed for one night on our roadtrip and I slept a solid 8 hours, which never happens! I was a little worried about the homeless people camped out around the area, but we had no issues and felt safe the entire time! Bessie was a so friendly and my kids ate a big breakfast! We will definitely be back again if we are in the area! Thank you so much!

The place was lovely. Very clean and well kept and the staff were friendly. The location was also convenieny, but the area immediately around it was… meh. I never unsaget aside from going out for a run in morning, or maybe even I wasn’t a woman running. But it’s also off of a major interstate near the river and those areas aren’t usually fancy. Most hotels I found in the downtown ish area that weren’t at least $400 for two nights were in the same block.

This hotel is in a great location. It’s right off I-5, a short drive to Golden 1 or Old Sac. The area around the hotel is a little sketchy, but the property itself, from the parking lot, to the lobby, to the rooms, are well maintained. We felt perfectly safe, and would absolutely stay again if we are in the area.

The Governors Inn was clean, staff friendly and efficient, and close to Freeway. The only downfall was the large congregation of homeless around the corner from the hotel.
