Please check your wifi, i have never experienced such slow and glitchy wifi anywhere. And no, my phone is fine as I connected to a local cafe and restaurant in Rotorua and worked wonderfully. The function they held over the weekend we stayed, understand they are hotel guests too but the setups and the 'entitled' attitudes (not sure if because they are all doctors, never have the habbits to give way to people or aware that they have blocked other's way) had impacted on our experience in the hall and at the reception. Pool and spa is good, great location. There is a defect in the bathroom, because of the thickness of the mirror, every time you turn tap handle to cold side, the handle hits the mirror. We had to be very mindful each time.

Free parking in great location. The room had great space, was clean and new. Great amenities including pool and hot pool in spa. Would stay there again. Stayed in room with view, but it was just the parking of the Polynesian Spa - would not recommend spending extra on that, nor for breakfast. Unfortunately, the breakfast offerings were not great (taste and variety) with bad coffee (better one was extra). Of note: The hotel was getting work done. Thankfully, the construction was not noticeable in terms of noise. I think it will be all better once completed. Would consider staying again if back in Rotorua!

Rooms are very small since renovation. Very small. There is only one tiny bin in the bathroom with no liners and are not clean. Nor was the tile behind it.. we couldn't locate an ice maker and rang the front desk. I was provided an ice bucket, filled with ice, but someone had clearly vomited in and it wasn't properly cleaned. The pool is great. Some sharp and dangerous edges of tile for the wee ones, the staff tried hard and were lovely. Just wasn't what it used to be.

Great stay

Great two night stay at this hotel. The rooms were comfortable. The hotel is not far from Polynesian Spa which is a must visit for anyone going to Rotorua.

May be ok when they’ve finished renovating…

This place is very very tired. It’s undergoing renovations but I wasn’t warned of these and there was banging and drilling throughout the day. Half the lights didn’t work in my room and there were tears in the curtains. Reception staff really didn’t care when I mentioned this.

It is a bit old hotel and there was ongoing maintenance work, but i conceder this normal.. The problem was the staff when we were checking out. We are bigger family group: couple with 9 years old boy, 2 months old baby and 70 years old lady that Dont speak any English.. The phone calls from the reception started 9:30 am that we need to check out. On the firs call we explained that we are with small baby and will need more time and we will check out by 11am and we know that can trigger late check out and we will need to pay for that. From 9:30 till 10:30 am we received 6 calls total and 4 visits to the rooms from them
