Great hotel

The staff were super helpful. Especially as they let us eat a meal 5 minutes before last orders. Room is compact as per booking but plenty big enough for an over night stay. The bed was so comfortable! Breakfast is included and was perfect. Definitely recommend this hotel sitting on the quayside in old bergen

Great room with substantial breakfast and dinner.

Home hotel was under renovation when we visited however the staff were very good at making the best of the situation and we had a very enjoyable stay. The breakfast and dinner options were very good with a wide selection of dishes available. The meals were by no means gourmet, but substantial and comforting in a home cooked way.

The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. The hotel was very comfortable and though some refurbishment was going on it didn’t affect our stay….strong smell of paint in our room on the last few nights of our stay which wasn’t pleasant….i have asthma and thankfully it didn’t cause me any issues, just preferred the lovely scent in the room on our arrival. We had a delux room which was spacious and comfortable, especially the bed. Shower cubicle was a little on the small side and a bit flimsy but the pressure more than made up for this. The breakfast choice was wonderful and though the evening meal, including soup, could’ve done with being hot rather than warm (ish sometimes), the choice was ok and overall very good value. We would definitely stay here again if we returned to Bergen. The location was excellent and in a quiet location.

Very nice stay and would recommend. Biggest unique feature was the price of the room included buffet breakfast and a light dinner. Food was quality. sauna was great, room was fine, bed comfortable, location excellent, customer service /staff was wonderful, wifi was mostly fine, fitness area very limited. I would stay here again if I go to Bergen again and the price is right. Thank you for the wonderful stay in Bergen!

Lovely historic building. We stayed 2 times and both rooms were very nice with modern amenities. The hotel is completing some renovations, but there was no inconvenience during the process.

This is a grand 18th century hotel located in the heart of old town near the pier and historic sights. This hotel is currently under renovation. Appreciate the effort to update the hotel. Our room had a very strong smell from recent rennovation so the staff gratuitously moved us to a suite at no cost. The hotel also includes breakfast, afternoon snack, and light dinner.

Brilliant location and amazing food, the breakfast was gorgeous and the evening meal was plenty despite being "light". The staff were all lovely and very helpful, I wish I stayed longer to use the sauna more!

During our three nights stay to celebrate a special birthday, the hotel was in the midst of renovation. Unfortunately we didn't receive advance notice from the hotel. The next morning we were woken up by building work. The breakfast area was squeezed into one room with make do service trays for hot food. On speaking to reception, I was told I'm welcome to move to another hotel. There was no real courtesy in trying to make our stay comfortable. I'm still waiting to hear from their manager. The room is comfy but showing wear and tear. Room service is on request, I had no ideal making the bed could impact their carbon footprint. Overall, it's in a great location and it has great potential to be a great stay if the customer service improves.

Beautiful well situated hotel

Excellently situated hotel, super helpful staff. 3 off its floor and the dining room were being refurbished. We heard no noise in our room a little in dining area at breakfast but this didn't spoil our stay. Good breakfast selection and enjoyed light supper really didn't need anything else. Dont forget to visit the tower.

Wow just wow...amazing Hotel to stay in. The beds were super comfortable. The bus right at the door to get you to Bergen airport . Beautiful surrounds. Breakfast was good..not as much variety due to renovations, but still great. Light meals at night were delicious. And the staff went above and beyond. A huge shout out to Alejandro in the kitchen amazing, Satou your meals were delicious(would like to know the fish dish with the leeks and other vegetables?) and Stuan thankyou for the hot milk. Kamile your welcoming was excellent, Amalie your help was greatly appreciated and Mia thanks for your outstanding hospitality on our last day, you truly know your stuff. We can HIGHLY recommend this Hotel. 10/10

Property was under construction and we were not informed of this . Builders were everywhere. The staff were super friendly and this will be a fantastic hotel once finished . It’s excellent location makes it easy to board fjord cruise ship right opposite hotel and also flybussen stops right outside . If the renovations weren’t taking place I would have give. It 5 star reviews. The other thing was lack of storage in room very small narrow wardrobe and not one drawer to put clothes make up etc in . Other than that the lovely staff and fabulous location easy walking distance to bars and restaurants was fab

I would return to this hotel on a future trip

The hotel staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. I had an accident shortly after arriving in Bergen which necessitated our return home. The hotel extended our stay on a day by day basis while we rearranged flights. Breakfast and evening meal were included and was good. Note that the hotel is currently undergoing renovations but it was not so noisy as to be an unpleasant stay.
